I finally got an acceptable roll on my BTRD, and it's pretty damn beasty. I actually got my first 15+ streak with it in the IB earlier. Finished that match with 19 kills and a 9.5 kd. I camped a lot, and was going for the machine gun spree bounty, so that was a pretty sweet round.

Speaking of sweet; i just got a second Hawkmoon from a Dragon strike. 8)

Congrats.

You guys have way better luck in the Dragon strikes than I do. I've run probably 25-30 of them and haven't gotten a single decent thing.

Although I already had the weapon and the Hunter helmet Xur was selling this week, the Titan gauntlets were really useful and I got a Saint-14 from an Engram which marks this probably the first week where I've been genuinely happy with Xur since probably the second week after I started playing and got Third Man from an Engram.

Now the question is, where are good places to get purple armours? Is it mostly just from PoE and buying them from the Vanguard/Crucible? I was thinking about it for my Hunter and I realised I really don't remember much purple armour dropping, ever, except on Raids. Right now my Titan is all blue, bar one exotic, and so she's stuck around 27. I need purples!

Vendors (Crucible, Vanguard, Dead Orbit, Future War Cult, New Monarchy), Vault of Glass, Crota's End, Prison of Elders, and Trials of Osiris.

I'm probably going to have to get my friends to carry me through one raid, just so I can get the gear to do it properly. A bit bizarre, but Destiny!

iScottie is right.
You should at least do some vanguard dragon strikes to get vanguard marks to buy your Titan some of the Titan Vanguard Legendary Armor at the Tower.
Then you'll raise your armor level up to take more damage in the raids without dying.

I've been playing Vanguard Dragon a bit these past few weeks and I've gotten several pieces of Legendary Gear from either Legendary or Rare engrams.

Do any of you have the Gatekeeper CP on Normal? I desperately need Glimmer so I can buy weapon parts from Brother Vance and keep dismantling.

I have the Hard one, but it would definitely go a lot smoother for me vs. 27 enemies than 30s.

Just do the Exclusion Zone on hard on Mars. Pop the consumable for the Cabal to make extra money. Leave the last yellow-health-bar Cabal guy alive and wipe. Do that about 6 or 7 times and you'll make thousands of glimmer.
