He is a very good recruiter. As good of a hire as USF could hope for.

Charlie Strong is a mystery to me. Very good coordinator, great as HC at Louisville, but a disaster at Texas and USF. Although, his Louisville success may have simply been Bridgewater making him look good. I'd still take him as a defensive coordinator.

Some people are just better coordinators than head coaches, and that's alright. Would be a nice hire.

And, like typical E$PN fashion, this list is bogus. How do you have Jim Tressel at #35 and Urban Meyer at #46? Both should be much higher.

Maybe due to Tressel winning OSU its first new championships and Meyer built off Tressel? Granted Meyer dominated the Big 10 with the exception of MSU until the very end of his tenure.

Meyer didn't build off Tressel. If you can't tell the difference between Tressel's Buckeyes and Meyer's Buckeyes I don't know what to tell you. Meyer recruits very differently from Tressel and their coaching styles are very different. Anyway he shouldn't be behind Tressel. Meyer is at minimum a top 15 coach of all time. That ranking to me is probably because he bashed ESPN recently and Meyer and ESPN haven't had greatest relationship since he's been coach at Ohio State.

I'm fine with Tressel being ahead of Urban (or vice versa), but both are easily top 15.

A 14-0 loss to a garbage conference opponent. Canes are near rock bottom. I always liked Moviefan's optimism, but after a decade of him getting my hopes up with every new coach, every single one (Shannon, Golden, Richt) has left the program in as bad or worse shape than he found it. The Diaz era isn't off to a great start either.

Sometimes you have to take a few steps backwards before moving forward. I believe in Coach Diaz.

Lol. You’re the only one. I’m not sure he would make it as a high school coach much less one the most decorated programs in college. They deserve better but until they make football important again I’ll enjoy them being irreverent. Maybe he can get Uncle Luke involved in the program again. More strippers are needed and coke are needed down there to bring them back.
