Really love the style here man, never been a fan of the font "coolvetica" but the design work that's gone in to this is super impressive. Must've been quite time consuming.

The original slip cover that came with my VHS copy of this was so poorly done. Your custom here on the other hand looks amazing. It's a thing of beauty. Thanks for sharing!

Finally going to post some of my custom artwork on here. I used to do this like 10 years ago on customaniacs, but haven't really done it much in the past few years - until the past 12 months ago or so.

I've always felt the Criterion cases are much classier than standard BR cases, but I've never been massively in to the fake criterion style - so I do retail style artwork to fit Criterion retail cases.

PM me if anyone would like the printer ready files, or feel free to send requests if you fancy - I can't say I'll always be able to do em, but I'll certainly try.

Anyway, looking forward to sharing more as I get round to them.

Very nice work! I've been thinking about doing this myself. Standard Blu-ray cases are awful and it's sometimes hard to fit on what you need.

I imported the Italian release last year.

Worked up the below yesterday during my lunch break after seeing your post. (The collage of images on the back I lifted from the DVD custom here. Used with permission.)

I'm no graphic artist. My skill with Photoshop is very limited. Perhaps the above will suit your needs though. Click on the preview image above to download if you like. Just pretend that 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment put this out on Blu-ray earlier this year and all is good. They did on DVD back in 2004 anyway. :-P Enjoy!

Asking about the PQ/AQ? You just had to go there didn't you. I'll just put it this way. I had to screw around with the picture settings for my projector quite a bit to make it watchable. In the end though it still fared better than the DVD I own of this. Well, when projected at 158" diagonal anyway. There is a thread over in the Italy forums per this specific release so you know. Might want to check it out. See here.

Well it sounds like the Japanese version is the way to go right now. It has 5.1 audio and the Italian has DD. Sounds like they both have the same PQ.

What has be curious right now is in the Italian thread. A few people said to pick up Cats Eye with it. Well Cats Eye just popped up on the New Blu-Ray Preorder list. I wonder if Maximum Overdrive is going to pop up soon?

Arrow commissioned new art by Matthew Griffin for their release of The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai. This art immediately became my favorite for this film. I was able to find a "clean" version of Mr. Griffin's art and put together a custom cover for the Arrow disc.

These are very awesome. "Batman v Superman" made me want to get this blu-ray so I could change the cover. And I hated that movie. So well done!
