I went to the El Paso Up and Running shoe store. Tried on some Bondi 8's but they wouldn't fit, felt like there was a plate in them that was pushing against my foot in both pairs. Got some Altras instead, which I'll use to run Surf the Murph and I'll use the Clifton 8's to run Grandma's and possibly a less technical ultra after Surf the Murph.

Actually I don't know how technical Surf the Murph is, I might be able to run that in the Clifton 8's also.

weird drop of Yeezy's today. Did get a pair of black 700 MNVN which I have always wanted so thats a dub!

I feel like these shoes are fake. The stitching is not consistent on the green part. Especially on the left shoe.

Heeeeeeey everybooooody, I know I haven't posted in here in a min... been goin through a lot in life, but I've still been buying shoes, just not quite as often as I used to, and hopefully even less often in the future!

Really though, I don't have the money, space, or will to continue to build my collection, so I went ahead and took a group pic of the collection of one of my favorite models, the Air Jordan 1!







Now I am not saying I will never buy another pair of Jordan 1s... shit, I will def try to get a pair of the UNC reimagined for retail if I can, and probably a pair of 85 Breds even though the retail price is highway robbery... and I am sure there will be other colorways that I fall in love with in the future, but I plan on getting rid of 5-7 pairs at least, and then replacing certain pairs like the satin breds and Chicagos, royals, etc when I get the "real" version of that shoe, whenever that may be... but for the most part, I think I may finally be cool on 1s. 31 pairs, 1 for each day of the month, is what I hope to get it down to! Heck maybe even 28 if I can really trim some of the fat that I know I will probably never wear.

I wasn't going to get them... but I got EA via SNKRS so I went ahead and copped to see how they are in hand... and they are really nice. Will be keeping fur shure.

yeah mine arrived yesterday. these are my second pair of AJ3's in any colorway - got the Fear's last year when they were super cheap - but these AMM's are just gorgeous, these are staying in the collection.

I started become (without realising it) a collector of pretty shoes. My latest are the DSquared2 "Boxer" sneakers, so far have 9 colors. I actually wanted to ask if anyone here knows if the Nike Zoom Metcon are gone forever. I bought 95% of all colors when they were coming out, then I saw them only being on sale on their website, then contacting support and them saying it was not going out of style. That was more than a year ago and no new pairs have appeared, or even older ones on sale.

I just saw them at the Nike Clearance store yesterday.

Looks like the rest of 2024 will be sparse on releases I'm interested in, 2025 looking good though.

Never got into the whole shoe collecting thing. I imagine you guys never wear these, right? Does size matter, I guess in terms of value, for the sake of collecting?

I wear all my shoes but know someone who collects Jordans and he doesn't wear any of them. Ever.

Yes, the larger shoe sizes, typically 13+, are always more valuable in the after market due to there being less quantities of them. I wear a size 14/15 depending on the shoe, and my sizes are typically 25-50% higher than sizes 12 and down.
