Went to my local BB at about 1:30. There were about six or seven lenticulars spread over three areas. Shocked there were so few. Did what I normally do with lenticular covers. First inspect all the edges and corners. Then take the best three or four and go off to a quiet area of the store and start a closer inspection of the image itself. First to take out any slips with scratches or scrapes. Then for the last check I hold each slip so it's level with my eyes and make sure the image doesn't overlap. When the image is half one and half the other it give me a headache. I want one solid image. I found two. Both solid with the genie out of the lamp. A slight tilt and there's the other great image. I did the same with every other Disney lenticular slip. I picked ones that were 100% mint with one solid image. Looks amazing! Couldn't have asked for a nicer one. Put one of the two back for being way on an angle. So I really did end up with a perfect cover. Very happy!

Also went to another BB at around 3:30 and all were gone. Was going to see if any had the, other image solid but whatever. Guessing most stores got few. Wonder if that'll make them truly collectible or valuable.

You don't watch the show Turn on AMC? A lot of the show takes place there. They replicate the accent quite well, or I presume it's done well based on written accounts of the accents from the time.

Nope, no cable since 2001/2002.
I missed out on a LOT of TV!
Still do.
Though there are some shows I am able to catch as they air...

I rarely actually visited the bluray forum though. I usually stuck with the movie forum and would check the sites review of an upcoming bluray I wanted.

Just wached Aladdin.... For the first time. Really. It's the best of the Grand 4 IMO, although my fave's still The Aristocats because it touches my mind in a certain way in that it's nostalgic while I wasn't around to see it in theatres. If it wasn't for that, it's my fave.

Video is splendid, BUT I noticed 2 accounts of outrageous pixellation. Watch for the green curtain in the Sultan's room and the China Palace at the end of "A Whole New World". Ouch.

Audio is even more impressive. I'd give it a 5.5/5, a.k.a. Up To 11.
I can hear a lot of LFE on headphones (Explaination: Depression, Private TV. Do the math.). I think it's because my PS3 somehow now magically mixes LFE in, but I'm not sure. Listen to "Prince Ali" on a 2-channel or Headphone setup. There should be a HECK of a BOOM when the palace doors open, among other instances.

I haven't seen Special Features yet... I'll do another post on it.

So i called earlier today and 2 different Targets said they didn't have any digibooks yet. Decided to check online and all of the stores around me showed them in stock. So i took a drive out and they had like 15 copies or so. So i picked one up and cancelled my online order.

I can confirm that all segments (based on a list provided by FrankV many posts back) are on DMA, including the four panel segments not on the Diamond Edition.

Update: All four panel segments are also on iTunes Extras, which has the whole documentary organized in its proper order (unlike DMA, which places them in different sections) in four subsections (The Producers, The Music, The Animators, The Voice Talent), along with the "Made You Look" ending segment.

The BD has it organized the same way as iTunes Extras, but without the panel segments. I wonder if WDSHE forgot to put them on the Diamond Edition BD master.

My favorite Disney movie has never looked better! There is great depth in the image throughout. The specials features are very light and disappointing but I am happy to add such an amazing and beautiful film to my collection.

I was really hoping they'd do a feature length doc like they had on the Beauty and the Beast and Lion King Diamond Editions. The one on BatB was top notch and set a real standard they haven't met since.

Just got a chance to sit down with my copy, since it arrived right before I had to head to work today, and it looks beautiful, though the high def transfer definitely makes the CGI look very dated, but I don't really care.

I just had to take a quick break because about halfway through "Friend Like Me" I just spontaneously burst into tears hearing Robin Williams again. Like seriously ugly crying. This was one of my favorite childhood movies and it just *hurt* hearing that song again. I know I can't be the only one. The rest of the movie's gonna be tough, but I'm gonna put on my big boy pants and get through it... hopefully.

Best Buy charged me the pre-sale price wtheck? What happened to the whole if you pre-order-and-if-the-price-drops-you-get-charged-the-lower-price policy? I've noticed the charge on my credit card is pending/temp auth. so will they fix this in store when I go pick it up? Annoying AF....I emailed them a week ago too and didn't even get a response or acknowledgement. Incredibly unprofessional.

Just fyi, I don't know about BB, but for Amazon, I've had it where they charged the original price my order listed, and about 3-4 days after the release date my card gets refunded the difference (and an email from Amazon telling me about the lowest price)

Also, and I may be wrong about this, but I think there is also a policy where if the in store price is lower than the online price, you pay the in store price. Yes it sounds like (no duh) but they don't want to go through the trouble of cancelling an order and placing another one.

Best Buy is the same way!
It is annoying, but, it is also easier for them to drop it the one time, after the fact, than to constantly be altering the price...

Yup, just look at this Thread and the Edward Scissorhands Thread for how to NOT do something obvious...
Target has really gone to crap lately!
