That's stretching it a bit. My school, UCF almost beat them at NC St. earlier this year and UCF is an so-so CUSA at best. Not single game on NC State's schedule this year is against a team is currently ranked.

Just because a team isn't ranked doesn't mean they're not any good, only 25 teams out of what, 300-400 are ranked at a time?

Well it's not a bad indicator for the most part. The SEC has 6 schools in the top 25 while the ACC has only two, NC St. and Miami.

I'll be glad if Michiagn State can pull it off, you know they are putting their blood, sweat, and tears into this game for Coach Dantonio.

I don't think it's stretching it, Russell Wilson is the difference maker for them. That guy finds a way to win football games for his team. I'd love to see a showdown between Miami and North Carolina State in the ACC title game this year.

Wow... so many twists in the Texas-Oklahoma game. The Texas punt returner fumbled away the return with a minute left to seal it for Oklahoma.

Virginia Tech squeaked it out. The Hokies are a good team if they find themselves, they will make a lot of noise before the end of the year.

I can't believe the Gators are still having trouble snapping the ball. No excuse for a team with so much talent having so much trouble with a basic fundamental.

The rout is on in Tuscaloosa. 17-0 Alabama and counting. Brantley ain't no Tebow.

EDIT - 24-0 Alabama. This one is getting ugly.

I can't believe some of the shenanigans in college football. Oregon was driving down the field on Stanford, defensive player #44 for STAN went down like his foot was injured, waited out one play after stalling the Oregon offense, then jogged right back on the field next play like nothing happened.

If I was a ref I would give that a personal foul.

I wasn't sure what to think of Oregon after starting out 4-0 and averaging nearly 60 PPG against weaker opponents but they looked good today. They racked up 52 points and 626 yards of total offense against a very good Stanford team. This team definately has a chance of running the table the Pac-10.

Did Oregon do enough to pass BSU as the #3 school in the poll

I'll bet the voters leave Boise St. #3 after that "huge win" over New Mexico St.

I don't know, beating Stanford 52-31 after being whopped 21-3 is more impressive than crushing one of the worst schools in the country but what do I know?

You'd be surprised. These poll voters seem to have a hardon for Boise and TCU this year. I'd expect Alabama to solidify their #1 spot in the next poll with Ohio St. slipping a bit but staying #2 after a less than impressive win over Illinois. Hopefully Oregon rises at least to #3. I'd rank Oregon #2 after Alabama if I had a vote. In any case the gap between Alabama and the rest appears to be big.

That Oregon/Stanford game was really fun to watch. Of course, even though I'm a Longhorns fan at heart, it's always great to see a hometown Heisman candidate do well in LaMichael James. We rarely get a chance to see him on TV down here, but he made the most of it tonight. Our other hometown Heisman candidate lost his shot last week when he literally threw away the game to Alabama....Ryan Mallett.

Bama is solid at #1 but still has some work to do since they have to go to South Carolina next week, at LSU, at Tenn (shouldn't be much of a problem), and then play Auburn at the end. LSU is horrible on offense, but playing at home against a #1, their defense has the potential to make something happen. You never know what to expect from Spurrier so next week could be interesting and then the Auburn game looks to be a very good...although I think Arkansas will beat Auburn before then.

Ohio State and Oregon should be #2 and #3. Boise and TCU should be #4 and #5 and stay there until Nebraska and Oklahoma prove they are for real. In fact, I would have Auburn at #6 ahead of both of them. The Big 12 is very weak this year and Oklahoma's win against Texas today was not impressive at all.....Texas is very mediocre right now.

Bama is only getting better on defense and that's a scary thing given they're so young on that side of the ball.

Can you imagine what kind of national title game we'll get if we are 'treated' to an Ohio State/Alabama matchup?

I'm anxious to see how Robinson does in the upcoming weeks once he finally faces a decent defense. He still hasn't gone up against anything other than poor teams, but he's been amazing. Their next 3 games are much more difficult with Michigan State and Iowa (coming off a bye) at home and a night game at Penn State. If he can keep putting up good performances he'll definitely be the Heisman frontrunner.

I really think there's a good chance this Michigan team goes 8-4. Their defense is horrible, giving up at least 21 points to 4 of their 5 opponents, none of whom were very good offenses. I think Michigan State has a good shot at beating them and Iowa has a great shot, as Iowa's front 7 is among the best in the country and should be able to hold Michigan under 28. I think Penn State and Wisconsin could beat them and Ohio State will beat them.

Yes. Something like this. Thankfully Ohio St. will likely drop at least one game.

Alabama - 41
Ohio St. - 17

Good to see Oregon passed Boise St. in the AP poll. There is still one voter who keeps ranking Boise St. #1. I'm still not sure how they can justify keeping TCU ahead of Nebraska and Oklahoma when TCU has played a garbage schedule.

Same here on Michigan. They are 5-0 because they've played the weak part of their schedule. They have games against Michigan St., Wisconsin, Iowa, Penn St. and Ohio St. left. They will lose 3 games minimum, probably more.
