I would love to order these sets from Amazon but afraid too. It's seems like lately all Blu-ray sets that I order they ship in an oversized bubble mailer and my sets get banged up.☹️

Yeah, I know the design is, but having them on the deals bar in order is pretty cool. I think earlier they actually weren't in order too haha.

I love how the boxes line up, even though Gamera looks a little wider than usual. It's so weird how close the artwork for the standard sets match one of my visions for the complete set when it was first teased.

Speaking of Amazon packaging, I ordered Weird Wisconsin from Amazon which arrived today and of course, they sent it in a yellow mailer. The only damage was one corner was slightly rounder than the others. I really wish Amazon had some sort of value consideration for their packaging though. It seems so wrong to mail something that cost $50+ in such shoddy packaging. And any refunds or replacements would come out of their pocket if something happens. Why won't you care?

The one thing holding me back from buying the Arrow set is the thought that they could announce a UHD Heisei set any day now. Japan has already got them.

This was their comment about 4K releases back when the LE set was released.

Let's factor in that Japan is getting a Daimajin 4K set this year while the Arrow release will be using the same masters from before. Probably will be the same case for Yokai monsters too. There really is no safe bet what they will do for these films in the future. Like the current discussions in the Godzilla and Ultraman threads, you got to consider what's more important - the movies or the format.

Guys, Diabolikdvd has both sets in stock and for only $44.99 each. Just placed my order.

So far DiabolikDVD isn't impressing me. I placed my order 7 days ago and still not shipped. When I ordered they showed stock for both sets and now 1 set is out of stock. Why wasn't my order filled when they had stock?

If they had stock when you ordered then you're good.

You might want to stick with Grindhouse then. Diabolik asks that you allow 5-7 business days to ship. I think there's a notice on their site before you checkout.

Why would it be a deal breaker? Is waiting more than a week for an item to ship really that bad even when the item comes in perfect condition?

They're in the middle of a big Arrow sale right now (which the Gamera sets are a part of).

Grindhouse did an Arrow sale back in April and it took Mike 27 days to ship my order. Which was fine, I'm super patient with this stuff.

It was my first order with DiabolikDVD. I'm okay with waiting as long as my sets arrive undamaged. I ordered from them because they had the best price. I usually order from Mike at Grindhousevideo if it's something I can't get in a local store. Hopefully my sets ship soon.

When this happens you can sometimes fix it by carefully pushing something with a somewhat pointed end (like a capped pen) against the opposite side on the inside of the box.

Yeah, I ordered from Grindhouse a while back during a big Arrow sale they were doing and it did take a while to ship. I guess that's one of the trade-offs with these smaller vendors. Not a big deal though; it wasn't something I urgently needed so much as just something I'd had my eye on and figured I'd grab while it was on sale.

I actually have the super limited set in my collection and decided to order these non limited sets too. I kind of like the packaging especially how the movies come packaged in the individual cases. Depending on how much I like these I might just sell my limited set.
