I just went out and bought "America Lost and Found: The BBS Story" at my local B&N for only $70.87 plus tax. It was 10% off, plus another 10% because I'm a member, and then I used a 30% off coupon on top of that. SCORE! Very, very nice set. Can't wait to dig in.

Unfortunately Borders doesn't carry the set in-store right now, only online. I was unaware of the BN 30% off coupon, but none of my closest BN's have the set in stock anyway. Coupon is good until the 28th so I may try to check some other stores while I'm out and about Friday.

My friend was looking through my movies and came across Black Narcissus. He said he did not know that somebody made a movie about Kanye West. I almost fell on the floor laughing.

(I believe 'Narcissist' is what he meant though).

I checked out the shape of the box on that set and considering the long trip and the cardboard design, it came in pretty good shape. The only unusual thing about it was the Last Picture Show disc had a slight clouding of the plastic near the core of the disc. I've seen this with DVDs, but never with a BD so far (unless I'm blind and just didn't notice it).

I ran a quick test to make sure it would play and skipped around. Other than taking a long time to load, everything was fine. Ever since CC started using Java on their BDs, load times in general are ridiculous...but hey, as long as they play.

I hate to say it, but my first choice when I start my marathon tomorrow will be Modern Times...after that is your guess. I have a lot to see from purchases made in the last week or so and all I've seen so far has been the Sherlock Jr. BD (*wink to CG*).

If I don't get back on for the rest of the evening...HAPPY THANKSGIVING to the anal retentive, OCD suffering, steelbook loving, arthouse, punk, film addicted bunch of idiots...that is us!
