I used to think that as well but MN's min wage went up quite a bit from 2013 to 2017 and I really didnt see a similar raise in commodity prices. when you consider how much Jeff Bezos makes and compare it to what the warehouse workers make, its easy to see why they can afford to pay them more, they just know they dont have to

If colors had sounds, what would green sound like?

Finally watched Rambo: Last Blood tonight.... I didn't want to watch it, and I wish I hadn't.

How could they send him out like that? Man...

Interesting question, will need to think about that. As a music lover, I tend to think of sounds, notes, chords in terms of colors. As a condition, it's called "synesthesia":

Synesthesia is a condition in which one sense (for example, hearing) is simultaneously perceived as if by one or more additional senses such as sight. Another form of synesthesia joins objects such as letters, shapes, numbers or people's names with a sensory perception such as smell, color or flavor.

I have always attributed the color green to the Dave Matthews Band song, #41.

I'm colourblind, so would it sound different to me?

Green would be the tune of a nice, peaceful melody.

I'm not against higher minimum wages - deep pocketed corporations can afford to pay their slaves a little more - it's called sharing the wealth. What I find infuriating is that people don't value their jobs and quit for stupid reasons, slack off because they can or just generally look for a way NOT to work. Fifteen bucks an hour is a decent salary but if you don't want to work, don't apply for a job.

i am the same way. although i try not to let it bother me or let it affect my work. i see it a little bit where i work. although generally we have a pretty good crew and just about everyone does their job and does it well. but there are a couple who try to slack off every chance they get.

i work for less than $15/hr, and i make it work. granted where i live things are generally cheaper than most other places in the country (gas is currently $1.99/gallon around here). also, i don't have a house or vehicle payment (both paid off) so the only bills i have are cell phone, insurance, and debt consolidation (which will go away after another 18 months). plus, 10% gets taken out of every check (pre-tax) and put into my 401k; and that goes up by 1% every year until it reaches 20%. and THAT money is invested to (hopefully) make more money for me in the future for me retirement. and i also have a little bit taken out and put into a health savings account to help pay for any medical stuff/emergencies that my come up that might require me to pay out of pocket (even though i have decent health/dental/vision insurance).

and a 401k is something i'd suggest to everyone who gets a paycheck. even putting just 1-2% into it out of every paycheck is better than nothing.

my 401k could've been a LOT more had i not been an idiot and chose to have one when i first started working way back when. but between my 401k and social security (hoping it's still there when i retire), all i want is to live as comfortably as i am, now and not have to really worry about things.

also, i'm trying to get my direct supervisor to either take the job she's been talking about (with another company) or try and move up higher in this one so i can take her job. it'd be the same amount of hours for a bit more pay. i like my supervisor, she's awesome and we get along really well. but i'm looking to move up...not laterally.

There's so much they could've done to send him off properly but they chose to make another generic body count movie. I blame Stallone since he probably has final say on film projects and scripts. Dude looks like he's pushing 80 so maybe it's time to retire from in front of the camera.

Are mattress sizes sexist? Why is "King" (male) bigger than "Queen" (female?) Are the mattress companies trying to say that if a couple wants the biggest and baddest they go with the one with a male-oriented title bestowed upon it?

How long before we have gender neutral mattress sizes?

I don't have a 401K because money is power. Boycotting can bring down a company. If I have stock in the meat industry, the companies that manufacture weapons of war, companies that deal in the sale of organs of aborted fetuses, companies that lock up killer whales in tiny pens, then I am a hypocrite.

I like the idea of controlling where my money goes

nothing yet as because of people are still there but a floor plan. it looks doable but I was suppose to be getting the 1 bedroom which seems to have been given somebody else. This is through the county which mainly deals with 1 bedrooms so I guess I might get the studio but unsure. no one seems to have had there act together at this place. The leasing manger is on vacation and won't be back until the 20th. I am suppose to leave my transitional housing by the 15th of March. Also was suppose to have everything ready at the end of January.

All this is a big mess and headache.

I decided to give the famous “Stoner snack” a try. Normally I have a nice Chardonnay with my Doritos.

In my opinion, the wine is better.
