Last night, triple feature of Hansel and Gretel, Kozi Pribeh (Goat Story), and Call of Heroes. Enjoyed all three.

Kozi Pribeh was pretty fun animated fare despite being in Czech with English subs. Catchy tunes. A lot of love went into this movie. Worth a purchase if you like animated movies.

Call of Heroes had a good if unoriginal story and some really innovative fight sequences. 3D was quite variable, strong in some parts and non-existant flip up the glasses in others. For me the villain Louis Koo really stood out as a sadistic psychopath with a little bit of Joker thrown in there. More "innocents" killed in this than I can remember in other genre movies. Worth the purchase.

To me, if a bad movie has great 3D, it raises it's rating from a low D to a low C.

just finished watching The Taking of Tiger Mountain. while this is a great war movie, the 3D wasn't necessary at all. there's 2 shots where pop up were useful, the rest is only depth.

The problem is, once people who only have a 3D tv (rather than projector) lose the ability to play 3D, they are going to left with duds. That’s why am reluctant to buy such titles. The likes of Titanic, Fury Road, Gravity, House Of Wax, Inferno still have a regular Blu-ray included and as such, their longevity is not in doubt. But if a person feels a film is only good because of the 3D?

Hope that makes sense.

Two aspects to the movies I collect. One is I like good movies and the second I like to collect. I have some 3D movies that I’ll only watch once, but they still belong in my collection that’s why I can never understand getting rid of one just because it’s a bad movie. I collected all the James Bond movies on VHS not because they were all good movies, but it made my collection complete. Don’t ask me where they are now, gave them away and replaced first with dvds then with Blu-rays , so when we get 4D I guess I’ll start over again...if I’m breathing.

Watched Ghost in the Shell: Solid State Society last night. Found myself not following the story so did not really enjoy it at all. Too much mundane talking (English dub) and not enough action compared to other GITS anime or the 2017 live-action.

There were some cool 3d elements with digital floating frames and hud indicators from cameras or first person fov popping out of the screen. It was not enough for me to want to watch it again, though. Maybe one day when I am feeling like really focusing on every word and deciphering the story I'll try again.

Gets a 5/10 from me, but bigger anime lovers than I may get a lot more out of it.

Ghost in the Shell 2017. Absolutely spectacular 3D presentation and despite being a bit depressing it's a very entertaining science fiction action movie. The visual fx are amazing and the 3D conversion is very thorough and creative, making the most of the wide variety of visual trickery on display.

Contrary to popular opinion, I thought Green Lantern the movie and the 3D we're both pretty good, I definitely won't be getting rid of it.

while i was a bit reluctant about the sex porn . Decided to get Naked Ambition 3d. Quite enjoyed it because the 3d was excellent and found it quite funny .

Also was really surprised how much i liked Sex and Zen , extrema ecstasy . Again the 3d was great and the movie pretty good with some good action in it .

Re watched Pompeii the other night . Really good film and great 3d in this

The Stewardess has really good 3D as well, especially the included 30 minute short ‘Experiments In Love’. The best 3D pop out I have seen since ‘The Bubble’. It’s adult but nothing too bad. Th3 main feature ‘The Stewardess is soft core.

Why were you reluctant if I may ask?

That's what 3D is made for ... visuals's depth immersion.

Agreed. SSS should have received a technical award for the skill showed in making the GITS universe so boring. Some good 3D visuals but not enough to sit through it twice.

Watched Pirates and Band of Misfits last night. Very enjoyable, good use of 3D and enough to appeal to all ages. Even had fun watching the credits. Extremely well done.

Finally had first screening of Stalingrad. Great movie. Watched it in native Russian with subs. Some very impressive shots. One of my favs was the overhead shot of planes/ bombers flying below you with antiaircraft fire shooting up. Thank you to everybody who spoke so highly of it.

EBay has a $5 off coupon on purchases of $10 or more. So ordered used copies of Resident Evil afterlife and Resident Evil retribution. With tax came to a total of $11.21 for both.

Yes got the stewardesses and the 3d was good and the short had some amazing 3d in it . Dont know, but with porn or even soft core i find a bit boring especially as a film . so would rather not watch that kind of film and get something else . But with sex and zen , i thought it had a bit too much but more of a decent film with some good action, gore, fights and is something i would probably watch again .
