I Wouldn’t say spectacular.. very good 3D and film imo.

Hi Cabanon,,

I'm in the middle of watching it right now. This is glorious in 3D and even if it wasn't necessary, it's certainly makes the case for how great movies can be even more enjoyable experienced in 3D. I do believe it made great use of 3D and was more than just depth but we can have our friendly disagreement on this.

I enjoy often seeing some subtitles appearing in front of certain objects and behind others.

very true Joe, I may ahve to rewatch it in the future and change my mind about it

watched The Chronicles of the Ghostly Tribes yesterday, very good movie, 3D is mostly depth but it adds a good deal to the presentation. absolutely loved it.

watched Drive Angry, WOW ! I've read you guys talked about it but this is how a 3D movie should be done. nothing wrong about it and I highly recommend it to anyone. It was a no-brainer for me since I love Nicolas Cage and this doesn't disappoint at all !

Last night, I finally got around to watching Maleficent 3D. (I know the image below doesn't say 3D, but the version I watched was indeed 3D.)

I really liked it! Wasn't sure what to expect. The 3D was not the IN YOUR FACE WITH POP-OUTS type. No, but there was really what I thought was excellent depth to just about every scene. I also thought the story was decent in a fairy tale sort of way. Not sure why I passed this one up for so long (It has been in my big pile of unwatched 3D movies, for a long time. I think I had read that the 3d was "mild" and that put me off a little bit. I wish I had ignored that and watched it sooner.

You should watch the second one, the 3D is even better and there is some fantastic action and visuals.

Finally watched The Great Wall, and was not disappointed. Excellent 3D, and the warriors in different bright colors made me think of a Technicolor film, where the wanted to make sure you knew it was in color. Story was interesting, and the Atmos audio was house shaking! I know there's a volume knob....

I enjoyed that one, too, even though it came and went pretty quickly from theaters without much fanfare, as far as i can recollect.

I like the Thor movies well enough.

However, there is something about Abraham Lincoln Vampire Slayer that I have an irrational love for. I am going to have to dig out my copy and watch it again sometime soon. I just love that film.

Watched Croods New Age for 2nd time and still found it to be super likeable and technically superior. If you havent, watch the 2d short Gerald which is super cute and tugs at the heartstrings the way some of the Pixar shorts do. The other Crood related shorts werent as good.

Sat through Thor: Ein hammermäßiges Abenteuer, an animated take on Thor getting his hammer. Kids liked it, but again they like pretty much everything. Story didnt work so well for me including Thor's hammer being named Crusher and having a talking face on the hilt. 3D not worth writing home about. Perhaps worth it for the kids if you are already purchasing other discs from a overseas seller but otherwise wouldnt recommend. I got it from jpc.de for less than €9 plus shipping.

Got Gummi Tarzan today. I expect nothing less than a life changing experience...

Just ordered a used copy of Jumper.

I was aware of the movie but passed on it due to the mediocre review on this site. Today however I decided to watch Patton and the first trailer caught my attention. I liked what I was seeing, suspected it might be Jumper and behold it was

From what I saw in 2D, thought those scenes would look fantastic in 3D, but again was hesitant due to the poor review. But went to the old thread read the many great reviews pertaining to the 3D, so "jumped" for it myself.

Just dropped by the used record store at the local mall that has a tiny section of used DVDs and Blu-Rays. Been there a half dozen times before and never any 3D, but lo and behold today there was a used copy of Sin City, A Dame to Kill For 3D Best Buy exclusive steelbook. Appears to be a moderately tough find now that it's OOP, so that was a pleasant surprise.

Just received my second shipment from JPC: Seventh Son, Warriors Gate, and Darker than Night. There was a floating disc in Seventh Son so I opened it right away to check and luckily it was the 2D disc that had come loose - small scratch that I was able to rub off. I'm not sure how much I'll be watching it in 2D anyway so no problem!

I love the story of Maleficent, second movie not as much, agree with the 3D being better in the second.
Light boxes either side of my screen.

I've been on a terminator binge the past week
with these being in 3D, I thought Genisys had the better 3D of the two IMO , Judgement day could of gone a lot stronger, I find it kind of surprising with Judgement day when I think how good Titanic looks.
Watching Rise of the Machines I couldn't help but think how good that could look in 3D
