Got an exotic of some kind from every nightfall I've run the last 3-4 weeks. This week I got a legendary engram, 12 strange coins, and a vanguard auto rifle.

I got 12 coins, a legendary secondary engram (DOA shotgun), and an exotic shard, formerly known as Starfire Protocol.

Finally got a good roll on my Hopscotch Pilgrim. Took probably thirty-five to forty total rolls to get a good combination. Outlaw, Braced Frame and Headseeker.

I stopped at Headseeker because as someone who isn't perfect with headshots with every pull of the trigger, I thought the added damage would benefit me more. I'm gonna play around with it and if it's not great I'll roll it again.

I'm going to do some crucible tonight for a while if anyone wants to jump in. I'm looking forward to trying out the HP.

I gotta say that the background noise in Destiny is pretty amazing. I had to play with my headphone on last night and noticed several things/comments that I hadn't before. It is such a different experience than playing with the surround sound turned down.

Eric. I figured my scout rifle would have been higher than the pulse. Nearly all of these are the messenger as i never used pulse rifles before this, also this is just control, but all other play types were similar.

I have headseeker on my Three Little Words. It does help, if your first burst is to the body, try to adjust to the head as it can result in 2 burst kill

I'm still on the hunt for Hopscotch

but my Three Little Words is probably just as good for now

Any chance you want to play a few matches of PvP with me and give me some pointers? I know we have some really good PvP guys on the board. I'd love to play a few matches with you guys and try to learn.

Lol, I am not very good! I play a lot of IB so it boosts the stats a lot, I consider myself in the "ok" category. But yeah, we can play some for sure, ric, mega and ashley like to play control also so we can get a team going.

Those are apparently the only two weapon types I've ever used in crucible on the first character I looked at.

Maybe hidden hand would help me since I can't seem to land head shots. I think I might turn my sensitivity down as well and see if that helps me get lined up.

I have no thoughts of ever becoming a great PvP player but I'd like to improve enough to be able to hold my own.

It's just practice and finding the gun that suits you best. For me, it's the messenger, my KD has been on the rise ever since I got it, that and being more patient and staying alive. I had a bad habit of charging in and getting killed over and over while trying to use a long distance weapon. I like IB/control because people are predictable so you always know what there gonna do. I let ric worry about the zones, I just kill people.

For me, it only matters if I'm "fed" and "awake" enough to do good in the Crucible.

Case in point - yesterday afternoon after work. Two matches before dinner:

0.21 K/D
0.5 K/D

Three after dinner:

4.4
1.67
1.5

I think I've found the source of my streakiness. I just have to eat a lot. Might end up fat like some of you older fellas. Not that I'm pointing any fingers. Or forks. Or twinkies.

(Sidebar, has anybody tried a max agility build + Radiant Dance Machines + Mida? I did that yesterday and got the 4.4 doing that. It's the most fun I've ever had, if youre in an open map - mine was Burning Shrine)

I only recently passed auto rifle kills in Crucible with my Messenger - goes to show how much PvP I played before I retired.

I was running with the "Lord of Wolves" shot gun last night and did very well with it.
