Here in Texas, we have to share our wealth of blue ribbon players with other states. Honestly, I'd put the best Texas HS Players vs. the best HS players from any other state, and I think we'd have a dynasty. Last edited by Eye Candy; 10-10-2021 at 03:07 AM. |

Legit defense and special teams. Offense.....well, sometimes
![]() Youngish offensive line, QB is middling, but the run game is good if we can give them a semi-hole. I just don't think they can compete with the likes others likely to get into the play-offs. |

If Iowa is 12-0 headed to the Big 10 champ game, and we continue to see attrition elsewhere...it'll be interesting to see what happens if they lose that game in a close battle against a 1 loss or 0 loss team from the east. If UGA finishes the regular season undefeated, they are in the playoff no matter the outcome of the SEC Champ game (especially if they lose to an 11-1 Bama team). Then you have 2 SEC teams in. I'd have to think with the way OU is playing they are going to slip up, and there is zero chance a 1 loss Big 12 team is in the playoff unless crap really hits the fan. While it looks nice now, the committee will absolutely crap on Cincy first chance they get. Wouldn't it be something if the playoff this year was 2 SEC and 2 B1G schools? |

If they win out, look at the ranked teams they will have beat 1. Michigan State 2. Penn State 3. Michigan 4. Iowa All currently in the top 10. Now they won't all end up there, because 1-2-3 all play each other and Ohio State, but that resume will be enough. Rankings don't matter right now. It's all pandering. I think Cincy is a good team, and no disrespect to them, but Georgia, Alabama & Ohio State would all beat them. I might take them in a close game with Iowa right now. 50/50 tossup on OU. At seasons end, it'll all work out for those stinking buckeyes if they win out. |

The B1G on the other hand...could potentially play themselves into 2 teams depending on how the rest of the season goes. If the buckeyes keep playing well and Iowa starts to show even a mediocre offense...and then plays ohio state close in the B1G title game and loses, you could see them both get in. I think, as normal, the season will end up making it easier on everyone, but you never know. Cincy at #3 is nice, but what is going to kill them is IU and Notre Dame. IU still has games against Mich State (this week), Ohio State and Michigan. I also don't think it's a gimmie that they beat Maryland, Rutgers or Purdue. So Cincy's quality win against IU may not look so good at the end of the season. Cincy needs ND to be a 9+ win team. Otherwise when the final week comes out, their SOS is not going to look all that great. |
