lol this is what I mean, any tips and such on what not to do, or when to do it, etc.

The tip I gave last page (bottom) is the biggest one imo.

Other things you might want to make sure:

- Do meet Eileen early. To meet her, take time to explore around when arriving in the old warehouse/ sewer area. If you see a hunter in black turning your back to you. Do NOT attack her.
- Do meet Alfred early. He is in the Church to the left passageway after cathedral ward/ Oedon Chapel. He can be summoned for help in the fight vs Bloodstarved Beast and has an interesting story later on.

I hope this doesn't turn vidjunkie off the game tbh I haven't done any of these and I managed.. even the cords are optional, (I collected them for the trophies)

It won't turn me off, I am going to get this for sure today(Monday) because of the great sale Gamestop is running for this week, $39.99 new/sealed is a good buy especially reading what I have been reading here in this thread lately, this sounds like a really, really good game, and yes I do like Dark Souls 1 & 2, I am real far in 1 but have not even started part 2 yet lol.

Yes that is a good deal too. I wish are GameStops didn't rip open the seal & play frisbee with the discs before putting them back in the opened case full of cruddy stickers & maybe stains, then charging you $85.

You and me both, I told the Manager at my Store that this is the one thing I truly hate about Gamestop, they need to stop opening everything and selling as new, because like you said the Discs look bad and those damn stickers, but he got me a sealed copy from one of his other Stores.

DARN! I got it and went to play and there is a system update! I have very, very fast internet connection but for some reason all these updates take forever, is there a faster way to do these lol, also when I do start wish me luck lol, cannot wait to dive into this

To me, if you get the last new copy they should give you a discount because it's no longer sealed. The gamestop I go to takes any codes that would come with it out but I can't count on them all doing that.

By using password matching, you can now be matched regardless of level difference, and even with a hostile oath.
Conditions for the appearance of the insight store changed: it will appear when the player has one or more insight instead of 10 (Once unlocked, it will now remain unlocked for the rest of the game, even if you have zero insight).
Added a “blood chunk” item to the insight store (it will appear after playing the game up to a point). It costs 30 Insight.
Up to 600 Blood vials and quicksilver bullets can now be stored in the storage.
Adjusted the strength of some enemies in some areas in new game plus.
Adjusted the resistance and vulnerability of some enemies to bolt and arcane attacks.
Changes made to how Beasthood accumulates. This increases duration and improves attack of beast mode.
Adjusted the effect of Beast Blood Pellet item.
Fixed a bug of the attack force of the Rifle Spear. In particular, it was fixed a problem with the use of Blood Gems.
Reduced the stamina use of the Kirkhammer.
Reduced the stamina use of the Logarius’ Wheel.
Increased the duration of Old Hunter Bone and reduced the use of Quicksilver Bullets (reduced from 5 to 4).
Increased the duration of the effect of Tiny Tonitrus. Increased attack force. Attack force with low arcane will be higher.

Added Short Ritual Root Chalice to the insight store after completing the Pthumeru Chalice dungeon. It costs 10 Insight.
It’s possible to take advantage of the Short Ritual Root Chalice from an earlier stage of the game.
Added a random rewards when killing a Chalice dungeon boss. They will now drop a random Blood Gem in addition to weapon enhancement materials.
Different depths of Chalice Dungeons will now drop different Blood Stones
Depth 1: Blood Stone Shard

Co-op partners joining a cursed dungeon will only see their HP reduced by 50%, and not by 65% as it was before.
When starting co-op in a chalice dungeon, you will now spawn in the lantern room.
Weapons with special names like “uncanny” and so forth can now be purchased from the Bath Messengers once found.
Adjusted the brightness of the screen when finding a pool of Blood Echoes on the ground.
Corrected the bug that disconnect you from online mode when in stand-by.
Corrected a bug that caused enemies not to be displayed correctly for co-op guests when moving fast.
Further tweaks and bug fixes.

I'm glad they fixed the bug with connection during rest mode. And super glad we can have more blood vials and bullets in storage.

I don't use beast blood pellets.

Beasthood seems to be the only stat upgrade.

Maybe the update after this one, they put Block ROCK in the pond.

It's kind of disappointing From Software according to that new patch lowered the difficulty of some of the enemies. These games are meant to be a hard challenge. To be honest, after your first playthrough the game is actually easier on NG+ considering you know how the enemies and bosses attack and you are all leveled up.

It reminds me of that time when the challenge near the end of God of War Ascension was made easier because too fans complained it was too hard. It wasn't even that hard and some people were saying it was near impossible hahaha. There was a strategy a lot of people apparently weren't doing or even figured out I guess.

It doesn't seem any easier to me after the patch. If it is it's very slight as I got totally abused by Ebrieatas. What I've definitely noticed and liked was bigger storage and the screen no long being super dark on recovering blood echos.

Well, Ebrietas is a total ***** so I'm not surprised. Probably the one fight in the game that was a true pain in the butt. It was mainly all about the timing when you needed to roll out of the way when she charges at you.

How are load times? I remember hearing they were going to try to make them a bit better.

First try? Damn, it took me about 4 I think. It was a pain in the ass trying to strafe around to keep at her backside because she turns/follows you quickly.
