If he can keep putting up good performances he'll definitely be the Heisman frontrunner.

I really think there's a good chance this Michigan team goes 8-4. Their defense is horrible, giving up at least 21 points to 4 of their 5 opponents, none of whom were very good offenses. I think Michigan State has a good shot at beating them and Iowa has a great shot, as Iowa's front 7 is among the best in the country and should be able to hold Michigan under 28. I think Penn State and Wisconsin could beat them and Ohio State will beat them.
Agree I really want to see him against a quality opponent. Also they give up a ton of points and unless this is really how he'll play theres no way they could hang with a scoring team.

I think Denard Robinson is the next Steve McNair but it is a bit early to tell just yet. Again, wow@Oregon.

I thought Richt was safe but now I'm not sure. That is not a good Colorado team they lost to, although with their remaining schedule 6 wins isn't out of the question. If Richt returns I'm expecting a huge shakeup on his coaching staff because someone has to take the fall.

UMD already has a coach-in-waiting in James Franklin. They have a new AD though who might not want to give Franklin the job. It would be somewhat expensive to fire both Franklin and Friedgen. If they fired Friedgen after the season he'd be owed $2 million, and if Franklin isn't the next coach he gets $1 million.

Yeah I knew about that, I just can't believe they'd let a bad coach make sure a replacement coach had the job

It's a tough time to be a Dawg fan, that's for sure. Lots of people want Richt's head, but I just like the guy too much. I wish he'd show a little more fire and also light a fire under these kids and coaches, but oh well. I'm sort of grossly enjoying the train wreck this year just to see what happens.

It was nice seeing AJ Green back. First 3 times he touched the ball he had a 40 yard run, a 1-handed TD reception, and a 40-yard TD reception. Hope he makes some NFL team very happy next year.

They're paying Friedgen $2 mill per year? That's robbery.

Mine did too when I was in college. At least it produced some quality NFL athletes (among others, Champ Bailey, Richard Seymour, Marcus Stroud, Hines Ward.....Quincy Carter )

It's like taxes. Just pretend your money went towards something you can be proud of. I like to think my money went towards new campus dorms and knocking down the old ones... when in fact it probably helped rebuild the Frat quad.

Hey come on now, I was in a "Frat." We didn't really have a quad though. By the time I left, houses were spread all over campus. At least ours was close to the sororities and the stadium.

Hard to tell where exactly college coaches' money comes from in many cases. I heard it mentioned o nthe radio awhile back that something like 80%+ of Urban Meyer's $4 mill or so per year comes from some private alumni foundation.

Funny how shady pay gets when talking about college coaches yet players get suspended for picking up a dime off the sidewalk.

Most public schools have pay scales or pay that is partially determined by the state. At Clemson, no one is allowed to have a higher salary then President Barker, so the rest of the money for Dabo's salary comes from boosters and other sources. I'm not sure about the rules governing gameday and merchandising revenue.

I don't blame boosters either lmao if I was rich enough to pay a coach guess who UMDs coach would be Nick Saban

From my udnerstanding boosters can fund just about anything aside from paying players directly. Heck, practically the entire Oklahoma St. athletic department is paid for personally by T. Boone Pickens.
