Projected spreads for the most likely semifinal matchups.
#1 Alabama (-12.5) vs. #4 Cincinnati #3 Georgia (-9) vs. #2 Michigan I suspect the Bama-Cincinnati spread will increase considerably before the line actually opens. Hard time believing it would truly stay below 16-18 points. Cincinnati has a solid squad, but let's face it, they are almost certainly going to get destroyed. While I am happy a non-BCS school is likely to finally crack the playoff system, I don't even think this Cincinnati team is the best non-BCS team of the last decade - this team was. The 2017 Knights had a slightly stronger SoS, finished the year with a better SRS rating, and defeated a very talented Auburn team in their BCS bowl game. I think the Georgia-Michigan spread may close a bit. I think Michigan is a clear underdog, but that's an awfully big spread for a Michigan team that's looked really good down the stretch. |

Not sure how good of a coach Crystal Ball is but he was a hell of an oline coach at Bama and he can Recruit! So I think The U just got a great hire! Napier at Florida probably gonna be the best of all the hires in my honest opinion. But congrats on the new coach!

I know it's part of the business but I really hate seeing coaches still recruiting kids to a school that they know that they are most likely leaving. It was reported that when Jimbo was on his way out he stop recruiting to FSU he knew he wasn't coming back.
Then you have the report that a OU assistant coach was recruiting for OU and SC at the same time. Lol |

A 5-star recruit signing with a I-AA program is literally unheard of - never once happening as far back as 2006 when ESPN started tracking recruiting. But that is exactly what happened with high-school CB Travis Hunter, ranked as the #1 or 2 overall recruit of the 2022 class nationally. Nearly every top shelf D-1 program heavily recruited him- Clemson, Alabama, Oklahoma, Georgia, Michigan, etc., but he picked I-AA Jackson State, coached by Deion Sanders. Quite an incredible feat landing a recruit that big.
https://www.espn.com/college-sports/...al-signing-day Deion has turned that program into a powerhouse real fast. They went from a mediocre that that rarely cracked .500 to an 11-1 team in his 2nd year as head coach. Beyond this 5-star recruit, he manages to snag quite a few 4-star recruits, which is also crazy for a lower division program. Even I-AA dynasty North Dakota State never lands recruits rated higher than 2 or 3 stars. |

For example Quinn Ewers he reclassified to get a NIL deal with Ohio ST worth a million dollars reported. Then he uses the Portal to go Texas where he was committed to originally the next year. |

Big Bama fan and I think the Tide is getting the best of the best from the portal. I hate it though. NIL, early signing period, coaching changes before signing period. College football is in a bad state. Got to get some rules on all this shit! I love football. College football was my fav cause the kids had heart. Now its Benjamins only!
