I would take Dodger's advice, try and do some PvE to get some gear. If you know the right missions you can get more bounties done in the space it takes to get Crucible bounties done and also a lot less frustrating.
PvP can get very frustrating at times and I understand the BS with Thorn and Blink Shotgunners but once you get to know the maps and find a loadout you are comfortable with then it does get easier and you learn how to counter act these players. Playing in a fireteam does help......but just be aware some of us have bad games too

I saw you running around with that brand new void messenger, congrats! The void and arc messengers are where it's at IMO. I like the scholars to an extent, but they will only be used on nightfall burns, the messenger can be used anywhere and is a beast in PVP. The HP is just as good though, with higher stability and hidden hand it has might even be a little better for those head shots. I had to move it to the Hunter though, can't stand losing 3rd eye. I am overly dependent on it now.

I finally rolled a Party Crasher with Aggressive Ballistics, Shot Package and Rifled Barrel but the final perk is Grenadier, should I try again?

Admittedly earlier my friend and I played the Weekly Heroic Strike or whatever it's called and deliberately died over and over to farm the experience which is the closest I've come to hardcore RPG grinding. I practically maxed all of my armour by the end of that strike. My warlock is 29 now with all blues and one exotic helmet which isn't even fully upgrade or max light.

Thanks! It's going to take me a while to get use to it...especially in the crucible. I don't normally use 3rd eye, but I think now is a good time to start...can't hurt.

You can run through the story in 8-10 hours, couple quick bounty's and play 2-3 crucible matches to hit 20, then strikes for armor. I feel like you are making this much harder than it has to be, getting XP from kills is a lot slower process than bounty's and story missions.....or basically every other option.

The only reason I can see to do PvP for leveling would be for the additional bounties you can turn-in daily. Other then that, burn throug the story missions and you're set.

They go quick. My HP was rolled probably fifty times to get something remotely close to what I was satisfied with. During those fifty, I never once rolled braced frame and hidden hand together. Not once.

I think you were looking for braced frame and rangefinder together, correct?
