Criterion (and Beta),

Here are the "later Godard" (like there is a difference. Same comedy, same absurd plots, etc. "Oh, what did you say? Filmed in video? That bast***! I don't like it then!") that I would like to see in some type of release by the Criterion "Important Cinema" guys:

In Praise of Love
First Name: Carmen
Oh, Woe Is Me
King Lear
Keep Your Right Up

Some can be in a Eclipse. But a couple are some of Godard's best films. The first 3 could be stand alone releases, while they could add a 3rd film for the bottom 2, so they can go the Eclipse route.

Well I was going to type it. But I sing great. I've been called the song bird of my generation, by people who've heard me.

I had to look up the name of it from my netflix queue, but the most recent (which I apparently mailed back a LONG time ago ) was "For Ever Mozart"

Never saw "King Lear" I'm not a big Woody Allen fan though.....

Carmen and Oh, Woe is Me are in the the DVD set I have (with Passion and Detective)

Carmen isn't terrible..... I didn't care much for Oh, Woe is Me though.

You leave us, and then when you come back this is all you have to say? Disappointing, indeed. We were expecting much more from you.

I'll make sure to add more butter to it next time.

On another note, I ordered The Man Who Fell to Earth and The Third Man from Ebay more than a week ago and neither have shipped. The TMWFTE seller has not even responded to my emails.

I think you'll be disappointed, but we'll have to wait and see.....

Also.... 50% off would be $19.99 (give or take a penny from the muscular dystrophy jar)

That really sucks. I hope you get your movies. I guess I got lucky with mine. The guy was selling The Man Who Fell To Earth sealed for $30.00 with no shipping charges.

Default Sir Douche

Sir Douche: Music by Stevie Wonder - Lyrics by "Your's Truly"...

Art House knows it is and always will
Be one of the things that just won't quit
But here are some of film's pioneers
That time will not allow us to forget
For there's Godard, Bergman, Oshima
And the king of all Sir Douche
And with a voice like CG's ringing out
There's no way Godard can lose...

(**please save the applause for the end of the performance...that includes the throwing of food...)

Hey Beard..... do you ever check the "Buyback$" locations? I went to the North-Olmsted one a couple of times and it always let me down....

The Steelyard Commons location has been great however.... I've seen a few Criterion's there, but of course I've already owned the ones they had....

I'm not sure how much they'd sell something like "The Third Man" for though..... I'm fairly sure they base their price off of Half.com/Amazon Third party sellers, or some other site..... I remember seeing the girl looking up prices on the internet once when I was there, so they probably use a few sites, and use some standard % added on or taken off....

Actually... come to think of it, before I bought the Neil Young Archives, I went in there several times to see if someone "acquired" one from Best-Buy, and tried to turn around and sell it..... and they never had it, and I asked the girl there if they did get one in used, how much would it be, and she looked up something on the computer, and told me $250, and asked if I wanted them to call me if one came in, and I said "Nooooooo thanks"

Buybacks in Canton has some decent Criterions every now and then. I was up there just last week and they had Knife In the Water for $14, which I would've jumped on had I had enough money for it when I was there. I've never seen any Criterion Blu's, though, but not sure how far that is from you, but it's an alright location.

Why aren't you on American Idol, then? If your mother, family, and closest friends say that you're "good" then it must be true. You have my support.
