You hit this one right on the head. The delivery of that line was EVERYTHING. It was cold and angry which is how Vader should feel (he just failed to bring Luke to the Dark Side, now he knows he HAS to kill him; "He will join us or die.") Quite frankly the "Alert my Star Destroyer to prepare for my arrival." was way too smug for a guy who just failed his mission and found out his son would rather commit suicide than rule the galaxy as "Father and Son."

Plus, I think everyone was educated enough to realize that the shuttle could make it back to the Star Destroyer in plenty of time while the Faclon was rescuing Luke. I did not need to see Vader boarding the shuttle, flying to the destroyer, Landing, walking off the shuttle, having a soda, getting a massage and then appearing on the deck of said Star Destroyer. Ruined the pacing of the most intense final in all of the Star Wars films.

I know they won't change it, but I can dream. Very much looking forward to this set!

Well, it seems to me that this thread is really starting to head backwards towards uninteresting debate on the SE and UOT. Can we get back to the Blu-ray now?

Reading the article about the audio updates, I'm wondering what new lines are in the film. Matt makes it sound like they've recorded some new dubs, but maybe that's just my interpretation (or misinterpretation) of what he's trying to say about the process.

dcowboy7, you're going to find that many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our own point of view.

Really? That's what bothers you? Not Han solo twitching to the side when he is supposedly shot at???

Just a quick question: why could Yoda absorb Dooku's lightning, but struggled with doing the same in his fight with Sidious? Not that it really matters that much; I was just curious.

Palpatine is far stronger than Dooku but Yoda still showed that he was stronger than both.

I'm going on memory, but when Yoda and Sidious are mixing lightning, they're pretty close to each other, much more so than Dooku. The way I see it is like two positive magnets. The closer, the more intense.

Plus as American said, Sidious is a whole different beast from Dooku.

Agreed, not to mention what it did to the music. That whole sequence is so choppy now. I'd be perfectly happy with the OT if Lucas restored the "Bring my shuttle", Han shoots first" and the lame music number in Jedi was dropped.

Add in putting Shaw back in ROTJ and you've got a good list there.

Although, none of them are ever going to be changed so it's a moot point. There might be a 10-20% chance for Han/Greedo in this set, but I highly doubt it.

And that one, but it doesn't bug me as bad as those three. I do think there's a chance of Han shooting first, only because it has looked bad up to now. There isn't anything ILM can do with that shot to make it look believable and natural, short of CGI'ing that whole shot - Han and Greedo included. If there's one change that will be undone, it's this one and for that reason.

I hope you're right and it would be great to see that ridiculous change undone. However, I think George Lucas may have other plans. Instead of restoring the original scene, he's going to CG Han's leg bumping the underside of the table, causing Greedo's shot to go offline. That would be the only way of explaining how Greedo missed point blank from less than two feet away.

My favorite wish is to have a waitress accidentally bump into poor Greedo thus causing his demise.

And here below is why I believe that our chances are 50/50 that the original scene will be put back in-

That would be a funny way for Greedo to get it.

Hopefully, that shirt symbolizes something and it's not just Lucas with a wicked sense of humor, toying with those of us who hate that change. For me, that shirt doesn't get my hopes up. I think he's just trying to be funny.

Let's hope he changes the scene back.

He wore it during the production of Indy 4. It's nothing more than a product that the main Star Wars website sells.

Yes that would have been much better! I hate the scene anyways but if they insisted on keeping it they should at least do it that way so it doesn't ruin the character! I don't know why they didn't do it that way either.

I know. I remember seeing it from the Indy IV photos online. That's why that shirt doesn't get my hopes up. He was just trying to be funny.
