I think what a lot of these schools need to do to get a successful football program is relocate their school in the south. That's where all the talent is. Just create a UMD satellite campus in Miami or Jacksonville and play all your games down here and you guys will be in business.

I was right, BSU's decision to stop running up the score on NMSU cost them their #3 spot and I don't think they can get it back. Nobody to blame but themselves, they know how the voting works.

Boise also needs Oregon, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Michigan, Michigan State, Auburn, Arizona, Oklahoma State, LSU, and Missouri to all suffer a loss, because I believe if any of those teams could go undefeated they'd jump Boise. I can't imagine a Big 10, Pac-10, SEC, or Big 12 team not making the title game over Boise if they went undefeated. Most of those teams are guaranteed a loss since they have head-to-head games, but if 2 undefeated teams come from that grouping I think Boise's on the outside looking in once again.

They could have beaten NMSU 84-0 and they'd still drop below Oregon. I'm sorry but you aren't going to gain any ground when you havn't beaten a single team currently in the top 25 this year.

Lost in all of this is the fact that Kellen Moore is 30-1 as a starter, still boggles my mind he's such a lowly rated NFL prospect, I blame supersix4.

While Kellen Moore is a great leader and is very intelligent, he is very undersized with questionable arm strength by NFL standards. It is a shame because he's a great college quarterback, but I don't think he'll be able to take his game to the next level.

I could see a 1 loss major conference school, especially the SEC, making a BCS title game over an undefeated Boise St. team.

Yeah he's got the same issues Colt Brennan had except more accurate (and Colt was actually taller lol)

Team record can be misleading. Stick almost any SEC QB as Boise State's starter for 3 years and that QB would probably have a similar record. Kellen Moore is probably a 3rd or 4th round pick.

Then again Moore could probably step in right now as the Arizona Cardinals QB and do a better job than Derek Anderson.

A lot of people said a certain undrafted kid from Eastern Illinois had questionable arm strength and was too small for the NFL but is now probably one of the top 5-6 QBs in the NFL - Tony Romo.

Jarrett Jefferson will once again start at QB Saturday for LSU against Florida. Jefferson went 3/10 for 30 yards and 2 interceptions in Saturday's miracle win against Tennessee. Jefferson's backup Jarrett Lee went 16/23 for 185 yards and one interception. Jefferson did rush for 100 yards against Tennessee, although that is a bit misleading because 83 yards came on 1 run.

I know LSU is ranked higher than Florida and Florida looked like crap against Alabama but I would be shocked if LSU stays undefeated Saturday when they visit the swamp.

Actually he's not one of the top 5-6 QB's in the league. Top 10 maybe.

Highly touted tailback Dillon Baxter can't seem to get up and running at Southern California, by his own admission.

He was suspended for the team's opener for violating team rules, and Baxter admitted he hasn't really given his all since arriving from San Diego's Mission Bay High School in January.

"I've been going through the motions," Baxter said, according to the Los Angeles Daily News. "Since I've gotten here I haven't given my full effort."

Baxter had only one carry for a 1-yard loss in the Trojans' 32-31 loss to Washington Saturday. After a strong spring, the freshman was expected to contribute significantly at running back and kick returner.

Now, he's become an afterthought in coach Lane Kiffin's schemes.

"I just think I need to work harder," Baxter said, according to the newspaper. "I was being [stubborn]. It seemed like the last couple weeks, especially, my effort lacked."

Kiffin has named Allen Bradford the starter at tailback for this week's game against Stanford. But Baxter had a couple of solid practices this week.

"They were definitely two of my best practices," Baxter said of Tuesday and Wednesday, according to the Daily News.

That could lead to more work Saturday, especially since Kiffin said, according to the newspaper: "We'll need to run the ball and run it a lot."

South Carolina is smoking Alabama. Surprised they're beating Alabama? No. Surprised it looks like a blow-out? Yes.
