Did you make the template from scratch or did you find a pre-made one?

Built completely from scratch. I had to find a good conition CBS Fox Vhs to scan in the back logos (bars on top and info on the bottom). Then I found the logo for the front and spine through a google search.

Okay, here is something I have been working on for a while. Here is my attempt to recreate the old MGM/UA grey box cover for Red Dawn:

It took me forever to find a matching, or close proximity, font for the credits and synopsis. Let me know what you think (I know the spine logo still need a little work).

Personally not feeling the Italics on Dawn.

I know why you went with two lines for Red Dawn on the spawn... but might try it one lined with larger font.

Just my opinion of course.

no worries. I asked for opinions. on the spine I am trying to get the full logo (russian and english). As for the italics on 'Dawn' that is the way it was on the original vhs case, but I will see what it looks like without the italics (I may try bold instead). many thanks though. I am always trying to improve my cover art skills.

Okay, I tired your suggestion on the spine and back. 'Dawn' on the back did not look right bolded or non-italics so I left it as it was (although I did center the quote better). As for the spine I was finally able to get the Russian part of the logo and it looks better. Here is the final version:

I've been working on these classic Universal Monster covers for a while. Many of these films were doubles, even triples with the Frankenstein, Dracula and Wolf Man Legacy Collection blu-ray sets.

So I wanted to make individual covers that matched the existing Universal covers for the single releases of Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein, The Mummy, Creature From the Black Lagoon, Wolf Man, Invisible Man, etc.

The covers will be uploaded to hirescover.net for anyone that wants a set.

For anyone that doesn't have a membership to hirescovers, if you PM me with your email address, I can email you the full resolution files. The resolution in the files below is significantly reduced.

I think you did a great job but maybe if you used a template for the fine print on the back it would give it a more professional look. I'd also left align the quotes on the back.

Nice cover!

I just picked this up at a pawn show for a couple of dollars. Then sold for $50. This helps me pay for my own Blu-ray habit...
