I know opinions are split on this but I consider the AvP films to be separate entities, I don’t count them as belonging to either franchise. For the record the second AvP is even worse than Resurrection. That takes some doing, but hey, when you have the guys who would go on to make Skyline at the wheel, I guess anything is possible (except a good film).

You should have done what I did & checked out after the prequels concluded. Seems I’ve saved myself a lot of heartache these past several years.

I actually think both are mostly good as well. Green Lantern only sucked when the whole cloud was the badguy ending (Hulk, ang lee did this crap as well).

Wolverine is actually a decent if generic flick. The actors were good. The writing was ok. The fights were mostly ok. It's only 2 real problems were cgi sucking (They cut the budget after it leaked and didn't finish a bunch of it assuming it would tank anyway) and the biggest problem. It was a movie about him becoming weapon x. Which we had already seen. 3 times before. Why are we watching the same thing again for half the movie? It wasn't done bad but I really think if Wolverine had come out before the xmen movies people would have loved it. It's not awful. I don't understand when people say it is. It's not great either. People seem not to realize with tens (hundreds?) of thousands of movies some are just ok. And that's ok too.

You want a terrible movie look at avatar. Absolute crappy video game effects for 500 million plus dollars. WHAT? Trek 09 and Revenge of the fallen had vastly better effects and cost a 4th of the price the same year. James Cameron is nuts.

I don't, no interest in the A v P films. I consider Resurrection to be good trashy fun.

I just think the GIF of Rafiki launching Simba off the cliff is hilarious.

AVP extended was fantastic.

The second one is one of the worst movies out there though. Horrible characters and worse you can't see anything at all it was filmed so dark. Great designs but you can't see anything. I did like the part where the glave impaled that girl in the hospital though you don't see that coming.

Not that I agree with your take on Resurrection, but is that really where the bar should be for an Alien film? “Good trashy fun?”

The first movie isn’t good but it probably gets a little more heat than it deserves. That second one though, yeah. Truly abysmal stuff.

Like Terminator, the franchise should've ended after the second film.

I agree. I’ve never hated Alien3 the way other people do (though I do hate elements of it), but I agree it’s an obvious step down & shouldn’t have happened. Compared to Resurrection it may as well be the first film.

Terminator 3 is considerably worse than Alien 3 for my money.

Hugh and Patrick acted their asses off. It was just about the worst script ever though.

Why is it a random clone of himself? How is that a emotional or personal end to 20 years of him as the character? Who wrote this crap.

Make sabertooth the baddie. Him killing hunting and gutting the kids in a proper r movie would give us the sabertooth we always deserved and give emotional and personal meaning to Wolvie dying for them. It made no sense it was random mutants and a clone. Like wtf. Could you imagine if sabertooth gutted Xavier? They could have had a Oscar contender instead of emotionless garbage.

Why did x-23 literally do a stupid pose after every claw slash. She was worse than black widow. That's what I pay to see a kid doing fox poses. Yay.

And @%#@!# whoever didn't have the kids at the end walk out of the mountains and see Magneto in Eden welcoming them. Putting an amazing cap on the whole series of films. He created the mutant utopia Xavier always wanted.

I wouldn't say that, but it's seriously overrated.

The characters were still annoying dumbasses.

Unpopular opinion; no movie should not exist just because you didn't like it.
