Wow, who gets in? Michigan, FSU, Texas, Bama, Washington, Georgia?

If FSU loses: Michigan, Alabama, Georgia, Texas

I really, really hope FSU loses here. This team is absolutely horrid due to injuries and has no business in the final four. If they do eke past Louisville (3-0 score at halftime ), they'll be one of the worst teams to ever play in the CFP. FSU would probably be a 15+ point underdog in any potential matchup.
Georgia doesn’t get in.

Michigan and Washington are number 1 and 2.

Deciding between Texas, Alabama and FSU will be brutal. How do you leave out a 13-0 conference champ even with the injuries? How do you leave out conference champ Texas who beat Alabama? How do you leave out SEC conference champs Alabama who beat number 1 Georgia?

Texas would be my 3rd team but then I would feel sick having to pick the 4th team but it definitely wouldn’t be Georgia.

I'd think Michigan, Washington, FSU should be in. FSU is probably the weakest of the questionable field, but they keep getting it done and taking care of business. Hard to see the committee leaving out an SEC team, but I'd put Texas in.

I wish the 12 team playoff was this year, so many teams deserve a shot this year.

Georgia will probably get the Orange Bowl. Which is pretty pathetic.

That would give the playoff committee a really bad look if they let Bama in over Texas since the Longhorns beat Alabama @ Bama this year.

Yes but that was at the beginning of the season. In the latest rankings Bama was just behind Texas and they beat the #1 team. So they will certainly leapfrog them in the new rankings and be the only non-undefeated team in the playoffs. I believe they go by final rankings, don't they?

Texas certainly looked very good yesterday but Oklahoma State's not the biggest powerhouse and Bama just beat the #1 team in the country.

Kinda surprised, but seems like the thinking among the experts is that Texas makes it, Georgia and Alabama both miss the CFP. ESPN's playoff predictor gives Texas a 55% chance of making it, Alabama a 41% chance. These seems the be the most commonly projected matchups with projected spreads. Not sure I get the Washington-FSU spread.

1. Michigan (-4.5) vs. 4. Texas
2. Washington (-4.5) vs. 3. FSU

Odds to Win the National Title:
Michigan +110
Texas +350
Washington +450
Alabama +550
Florida State +1600

Also, not that anyone here cares (for most part), but no consideration for Ohio State. Sitting at 6 going into this weekend, of course no conference game appearance (thanks stupid B1G divisions), but our only loss was to #1 Michigan (with their scandal!!), cmon.

FSU dont get in cause QB is hurt seriously WTF is that they just went undefeated with 2 backup QB.

Michigan gets screwed because now they play Alabama who does not deserve to be in.

OSU drops out of 6 because of this mess which makes 0 sense.

Past history has never been to leave out an undefeated Power 5 team, this has never happened. I want to know who paid the committee and how much did they get.

As Bizcat said bring on the 12 team system next year, this will fix most of this crap.

This is bonkers. It's no secret FSU isn't one of the top 4 teams because of injuries, but they are a major conference team with a perfect record. They should judge a team based on how they performed, not on how they are expected to perform in the playoff. I definitely thought Michigan, Washington, FSU were locks. Never thought the last spot was between any team other than Texas or Alabama.

Keep your head up, this kind of crap will largely be resolved when they expand the playoff.

How does Michigan get screwed by playing a team that doesn't deserve to be in? You mean they should be matched against FSU where they would have an easy time and Alabama is a tough matchup? If so, then why doesn't Bama deserve to get in? One of the criteria was choosing the best teams going into the playoffs. And they can't pick Georgia because they just lost to the Tide and OSU didn't play.

What doesn't make sense to me is Texas jumping 4 places in the rankings by beating an opponent only ranked 18th, while Alabama moves up only 3 by beating the #1 team in the country.

The only team getting screwed is FSU.
