You mean they should be matched against FSU where they would have an easy time and Alabama is a tough matchup? If so, then why doesn't Bama deserve to get in? What doesn't make sense to me is Texas jumping 4 places in the rankings by beating an opponent only ranked 18th, while Alabama moves up only 3 by beating the #1 team in the country.

The only team getting screwed is FSU.

This is the criteria. There's nothing about "best teams going into the playoffs," whatever that means. Honestly, the CFP always should have been based on the top 4 in the AP poll. Instead, this committee quite clearly picked the top 4 based on nothing more than a combination of vibes and expected TV ratings.

Not worded that way true, but they do account for the team's current strength, accounting for key injuries. And also strength of schedule FSU was easily the weakest, while Texas and Bama the toughest.

Missouri has a pretty good team, should be a good game. Penn St vs Ole Miss in the Peach Bowl will be exciting. I think Wisky get's smoked by LSU and Minnesota got a bowl game with only five wins.

Wouldn't have shocked me if Bama were slightly favored, but Vegas has Michigan slightly favored. Spreads are:

Michigan (-1.5) vs. Alabama
Texas (-4) vs. Washington

What a fiasco of a season. Imagine having the clear cut #1 overall player in the draft and top player in college football... and you go 7-5, losing 5 of the last 6.

Draft Kings actually has spreads for the potential national title game matchups.

It's basically Michigan > Alabama > Texas > Washington

Any interest I had in the playoffs just completely evaporated. I do think Georgia should have been picked though I can understand the argument against them. But FSU? Yeah, that was just flat out dumb.

Lol Steve A Smith has admitted he doesn't watch or know alot about college football. So why should anyone care about what he has to say. He is a Nick Saban and Coach Prime cheer leader. I actually agree and respect Dan's take on it.

I stopped watching First Take along time ago.
