woke up with a black spot on my heel. Seems to be a fungus thing but now I'm not sure how to go about getting a creme from my doctor.

I wonder if i have a phobia of being happy. I've been depressed all my life and the moments I am happy don't last long.

Finally got a haircut today, my first since December 16, 2019. And the woman kinda effed up the fade. I didn't really notice until I got home and took a better look in my bathroom mirror. It looked alright when I looked at myself in her shop's mirror. Blah. Thankfully it's unnoticeable when I wear a snapback which I pretty much do all the time anyway. It should grow a bit in 1-2 weeks and look normal again. Kind of bummed but it's better than having a bird's nest for hair like I had for the past few months.

very much possible

basically like the movie war of the worlds (2005...never saw the original). at the end, the narrator says, "on the moment the invaders arrived and breathed our air...ate...drank...they were doomed." all because of the microscopic particles that man had become immune to through evolution.

going back and introducing something that today's population might be immune to could very well wipe out most of the worlds population.




ot: thinking of ordering a new case for my phone and airpods. i like the phone case i have (otterbox defender), now. but i'd like to have cases that match (i'm weird that way). and i found a site that makes cases for both...and they're both made out of leather.

I've no choice but to wait until everything reopens to get a cut. I'm balding on top but my sides make me look like Shakes the Clown but it's OK - there's nobody out there looking at me anyway

There are no places open so I ended up getting clippers and buzzed it all off. I do that every year around this time, but don't know where my clippers went.

i've been cutting my own hair for years. i use a 1/4" guard and cut it all; remove the guard and get my neck. my hair is thick so even if it's cold outside, i'll get hot if it starts getting longer than about 1/2". plus, i always wear hats.

also, some years back i bought some cordless clippers. SO glad i did. not having to worry about a cord getting in the way is awesome. plus, i can get quite a few cuts out of a single charge.

this is the set i have

although, i didn't buy mine off of amazon. but they were probably that same price. i got them in....2011...i think...?

the smaller ones are battery-powered (2 x AA, i think)

My last haircut was in January. I had clippers that I've never used and just watched a youtube video to trim the sides and the back. Top is still long but it's manageable now.

I've been waking up sweaty even if it's cold outside - I wonder if all this bushy hair in back of my head has anything to do with it. Speaking of being cold, what's up with this crazy weather? It's been downright chilly this season with only a rare day or two of real warmth. There are lots of low 40's in my forecast for overnight temps. Looks like we're going to bypass Spring and head straight to Summer (maybe). I have a feeling it's going to be one of those cool Summers that come around every 5 or 6 years.

same here...not that i'm complaining, lol (for the moment, anyway). it can stay cool like this for as long as possible. i can work outside much longer with this weather. i was in my shop, earlier, making a planter for my mom. but i need to cut the grass (speaking of bushy things ).

Trying to convince myself to trade in our Jeep SUV thingy and my 20+yr old Ranger for a newer F-150 this summer. Wife's starting a new job in June at our local health clinic so she won't be commuting much longer and quite frankly I'm not overly excited with the acquisition of the Jeep. Thing is we just bought the Jeep 2 years ago, which seems a little soon to trade it in already, but I really do miss driving a truck. The Ranger has been good for us, but its only 2wd and not exactly ideal in the winter plus it's clearly showing it's age.

Biggest hurdle I'm facing now is the cost issue. There's the upfront $30,000 on a vehicle is a lot of money but also I'd be looking at higher insurance costs for one vehicle vs the two we have now. My wife's basically telling me to go for it, but she also talked me into getting the Jeep two years ago then proceeded to tell me it was ugly and that she didn't like driving it, so I'm taking her input with the grain of salt in a way.
