If it means getting a surprise visit from Samuel Jackson at my house, then I might have to start copying some of your covers.

It would be nice to meet the man, even if the visit was short...

I live right outside of Philadelphia. About 15 years ago, my family was having a graduation party for my cousin at a swanky country club. Someone found out that Samuel L. Jackson was playing golf on the course and after his game, they asked if he would come into the banquet hall and he did.

He didn't stay long, maybe 10 minutes but he mingled with guests, posed for photos and even signed autographs. The DJ starting playing the song from "Shaft."

It was a pleasant surprise and I'm glad I had a chance to meet him, shake his hand and talk about "Die Hard With a Vengeance" and "Deep Blue Sea."

He was a very friendly and down-to-earth-type of guy.

Hi there everyone. i just stumbled upon this post just now and was wondering what the scoop is with this post.

i design custom covers as i have a little bit of ocd with my blu ray collection and wanted my collection to look more like one big collection as opposed to lots of randomly designed covers. i used to post on a few different sites back in the day but got annoyed at the fact that they made money off other peoples work. since then i have been looking for a new home for sharing my work as i dont think i can get my head around coding to make my own site.

i just wanted to know what this site is like, if it is mainly US covers (as mine are 14mm spine covers for europe), is it all free or donations/trading, is it just blu-ray covers or dvd's too, whether it has to be universal sizes(as i tweaked mine to fit better in my cases) and what are the rules?

if anyone can help answer some of this i would greatly appreciate it. thanks

It's a free thread. You can post whatever covers you want. Some people just preview their covers and ask for people interested in their work to message them to get the High Resolution covers.

It's a sharing site for the most. So you're totally free to post whatever you want. 14mm, Uk, Australian. I'd keep it english friendly but I dunno the rules about that.

take care and looking forward to seeing yourt work

Has anyone tried printing covers with a Canon TS9020? A couple times in this thread, the Canon MG7720 was mentioned as being pretty good for printing covers, but it looks like that is becoming a little harder to find and the TS9020 appears to be an updated model of that printer.

I'm looking closely at the actor faces on your front Psycho cover. I'm pretty sure they are not the original actors you intended to have on the cover. The Janet Leigh looks like Scarlett Johansson. The other woman appears to be Jessica Beil, and the actor posing as Anthony Perkins is actually James D'Arcy. These actors played the roles in the 2013 film, Hitchcock. (Or were you being clever?)

cant say i have tried that model but if you are looking for a good printer for covers i would recommend the epson xp610. i use it as it is good for covers, it prints discs and has a built in scanner. it is a little darker than my previous printers but i i think it is a decent choice at a fairly good price.

I've got a Epson WF-3640, but not sure it will give me the quality I want. Does anyone use Kinko's or have a recommendation of where to get things printed? Nissen hooked me up, but I want to see about making them into slipcovers too. So want to insure it looks its best.

Love the cover, but don't like the Logan image you chose for your back. Other than that it looked pretty good.

I want to say I had a free movie ticket from a BD I had just bought? I like the first two and call it day from that point. Again, big thank you to Nissen for hooking me up with the pics. Especially after the recent fiasco I totally missed until I went back to see replies in threads I've posted in.

I have been tinkering with a matching series of covers for some of my favorite horror series. I really wanted to highlight and use Nathan Thomas Milliner art when possible but most of the images of his artwork are small and can't fill an entire cover. I have tried like 5-6 different variations on using the artwork and I think this might be my final attempt at doing them. Here is my Nightmare collection, and all others I do in the series would match up to these in style

It's probably going to be a YMMV thing. A lot of places will refuse to print them on copyright grounds. And in those cases it might depend on who's working there that day.

Why is there a black bar with a foot sticking out on the Mad Max 2 cover? You might wanna decide on 1 uniform title for it also. You have Mad Max 2 on the front, Mad Max: The Road Warrior on the spine and then The Road Warrior in the back credits

I do admit that my suggestion that EuphoricFX turned a blind eye to plagiarism was harsh and uncalled for. Once they were made aware of the situation they remedied it immediately. EuphoricFX maintains that they were unaware of the similarities, and say they cannot be expected to be aware of my covers and monitor what members do with them. Naturally that was not what I meant either. I was just venting anger and didn't realise my post could be interpreted thusly. My approach was in no way diplomatic. I handled this clumsily, and laid bare both a prima donna attitude and a mean streak I am not proud of. I therefore apologise for dragging EuphoricFX's name through the mud.

Lesson learned; I will not implicate innocent third parties in my witch hunts in the future. (Also, don't type in anger.)
