Cheating has been an issue on the Playstation consoles since the debut of the PS3.
It's a shame that people have to resort to cheating because they have no skill.

On the PS3 I had to join Major League Gaming just to play Call of Duty tournaments that were moderated to weed out violators.

Lag switching and modified controllers are more prevalent than ever nowadays.

Look on YouTube for Destiny cheaters videos. There are hundreds of them.

oh yeah. Aimbot contollers, lag switching, running a port sniffer on the server and then DDOS attack your opponents. there's a million ways to do it

I've found Destiny to be one of the fairest online competitive fps games in a while. Whenever I get killed in mp I never feel cheated. Whereas 1 day on the bo3 beta made me want to smash my controller through the tv.

Agreed. It's still my favorite competitive experience on the PS4. Part of the reason is you have to actually TRY to kill someone to actually kill them. No BS "I shot them in the foot once with my pistol as they ran around a corner from across the map and they died" like CoD and Battlefield.

I'm going to wait for a price drop on the Taken King DLC, I got Destiny off Amazon for $15 and I bought all the DLC during a PSN sale on the bundle which was $20 if I recall correctly. I don't know if I'm ready to drop another $40 on this game yet since I've not reached level 34 yet. Plus I still have not tried that Orisis part of the game yet and the only vendor I can purchase items from is the Hunter Vangard. I've got 3 purple shotguns now and I don't even know which one I want to try and level up until I can finally get a purple Sniper rifle.

have either one of you played Iron Banner or Trials??? i like the Crucible but there is always some Red-Dot connection a$$hole that is damn near invincible!

Omnigul was the last remaining Nightfall level I hadn't solo'd - took me 45 minutes last night but I did it on my first run. 369 kills. Guess you forget truly how many foes are in that level. Saw a Wizard fly into the hallway before the Omnigul room at the end, hadn't seen that before.

Sidebar, you guys are playing Iron Banner?! But there's no useful rewards! And I mean you tryhards,

I gave up on trials because I had no one to carry me

And iron banner I haven't played since before the dark below

Regular pvp is great though, not saying there aren't cheaters, just that it appears to be a lot less prevalent than in cod.

I like it, I always do twice as good as regular crucible so it makes me feel good about myself.

I had a good time last night, it was me, ashley, ric, eric, adam, and andy so we had a full team and won 3/4, the loss was also the worst lag of the night, people took forever to die and it had us all messed up. I think Andy changed his but at one point we had 2 messengers and 3 hopscotch, and a vex, lol, nobody was going to get very close with that arsenal.

I had only solo'd Archon Priest and Taniks before yesterday. Had to see how my new void Scholar performed in the Nightfall. I managed to get through it, but did die 5 times with my fireborn warlock.

Stay out of shotgun and TLW range and that's a devastating arsenal. Two people shooting at one target is instant death pretty much.

I had fun with you guys in IB last night. I'll be on again tonight if anyone wants to do it again.

I know it's all for naught with the approaching changes but I'd like to play enough this time to get to rank 5 since I've never done it. I got to rank two last night so a few more nights should get me there with the buffs increasing.

I was able to get in one game before I jumped on with Dodge and did a Crota run. I got a green rocket launcher so it wasn't all bad I think I got like 2 kills.

I don't know how long it lasts I'll try and jump on again tonight if I get some free time.
