Check out some of the Youtube videos. Defiled chalice is the most challenging part of the entire game. It requires major patience and a bi of luck.

For Amygdala, you have to cheese the tail.

I'd be right there with you had I not found the exploit that was around during launch.

It's simply too hard & too frustrating to even be considered a GOTY game.

In fact I'd score this games difficulty the same as with Rambo for SEGA Master System. Same principle.. Gain a few yards, die, start from scratch. Maybe an edge in favor to Bloodborne though because believe it or not there are checkpoints.

Everyone has there own opinion, but you have to get past the first few bosses to enjoy the game. Once you really start to level up the game just takes off! I have never had a game with so many high and lows, frustration and pure joy moments than this game. I am sorry you guys don't/didn't like it.

Also, for those of you who are making this game sound like the hardest game in the world, do Not play Demon Souls or Dark Souls. Although you do get a shield in those games I found them to be a tad harder, Demon Souls at least. At least in this game you can regain your health by attacking the enemy quickly after they hit you a few times.

Once you learn where the enemies are that do surprise attacks, as well as their attack patterns and the bosses this game really isn't that hard. I'm at the very end of NG+++ and it's still not all that bad even though the diminished returns leveling up is kind of horse s***.

Exactly. The first area is going to be really hard for most simply because they need to get used to the game and how you play. It's funny because one of my best friends who was getting on my case for years to play Demon/Dark Souls and had dominated them finally bought this game about a week ago. Lol, he says he never got as pissed off in the previous games as he has with Bloodborne.

Holly freaking crap I finally beat Amygdala in The Defiled Dungeon last night! Now I need 3 more red jellies to unlock the last Chalice Dungeon with the Queen for my platinum!

latest update added stat boosting to meet hosts level stats ... should make for even easier co-op

if you join a game and the host is a higher level , your character will have its stats boosted to be on par with the host so as both characters are even..

That patch just happen recently?

If so, looks like I won't be doing PVP much anymore. I'm lvl 285 or so and I loooved invading someone(or they invade me)and being able to one shot them with my axe spin.

Anytime I play someone even leveled it just gets boring with both of us constantly trying to strafe around each ocassionally shooting our guns to try to eviscerate.

My toughest boss was Amygdala in the regular game.

Anyway, I got the platinum for Bloodborne this sunday. Apparently, it's not that rare compared to my other two platinums (GTA V and The Last of Us Remastered), because 5% have the Bloodborne platinum. But I still think that it was pretty hard to get.

Before, if you rang a bell to get someone to help you it would immediately take away insight. Now it only takes it away if you actually connect and someone enters your game.
