it was shot on 65mm film yes.

Just re-watched both this movie and Godzilla (2014) back to back. Both are great entertainment but in all honesty, JW is a better movie. Liked all the characters but unlike others here I didn't like the direction they took the Dr. Wu character.
And from what I gather, people are moaning about sexism and the BDH character? She was really good in this and there was no sexism. Enjoy this popcorn flick for what it is and kindly STHU. It's a fun movie and nothing more. Enjoy!

Godzilla (2014) was borderline terrible. The 1954 version and Shin Godzilla are much better films.

So anyone think this will be released on 4K UHD?
I’d love to see it with HDR or Dolby Vision and just released in such a great and clear format. My tv upscales 2K HD to about 2.5-3K with clarity and other things... but golly! After finally getting a 4K player and 4K discs to watch on my Sony 4K... wow, I was blown away. Obviously not all 4K releases are giant improvements, but when they are remastered or released properly on 4K they are nothing short of amazing.
Sorry, *tangent over. I just want all my 650+ movies on 4K. lol
