It is. Repeated losses to Michigan is unacceptable along with weak play-calling. With that said, that was one heck of a run of games to win the title and I'm happy to see him succeed. He needed to face that pressure.

With that said, this is the by-product of an expanded 12-team playoff system. Which I like. In the past, that loss to Michigan would have eliminated any chance whatsoever at a title. So he's fortunate of the system now in place.

Ohio State defensive coordinator Jim Knowles is finalizing a deal to become the new defensive coordinator at Penn State, sources told ESPN on Sunday.

Knowles is expected to agree to a three-year deal that will average $3.1 million per season, which will make him the highest-paid defensive coordinator in college football. He's believed to be the first coordinator in college football to make a base salary of at least $3 million.

I'd completely forgotten, but earlier this year was the 20th anniversary of possibly the worst halftime performance in football history. People who attended that Orange Bowl National Championship were treated to a horrible game (USC beat Oklahoma in a 55-19 blowout), as well as Ashlee Simpson beclowning herself. If ever there were a performance the singer wishes they actually were lip syncing, this was it. Like half that song seems to be the phrase "La La La La La La La LA..." I think she ran off stage crying at the end after being booed savagely, but they quickly cut away.

There are more than 1,000 skeletons curated inside Neyland Stadium. Bodies are donated to the department, which then studies how they decompose at an off-site facility known colloquially as "The Body Farm."

The skeletons are then cleaned inside Neyland, where they are used to develop tests that help law enforcement identify the remains of unknown individuals.

Matt Patricia hired as Ohio State's Defensive Coordinator. Seems like a solid hire. He wasn't successful as a head coach, but has a very good track record as an assistant/coordinator, winning 3 Super Bowls as a coordinator with the Patriots.

I just dropped $1,800.00 for my Iowa Football tickets for 2025. Iowa, and I have heard other schools make you not only pay for the tickets, but you have to make a donation to the university as well to have tickets.

Oh, good lord, it really costs almost $2k for like 6 homes games for a mid level Big Ten team these days? It it as least multiple tickets with good seats?

Two tickets, press box side, 35 yard line, isle seats. They have to pay Kirk Ferentz his $6 million a year salary somehow. I'm finding it hard to pay this much money for 6-7 home games for watching a very boring offense, and Ferentz refuses to make changes, he's so damn stubborn. But, the tailgating is so much fun before the games!
