Thank you so much... I was thinking about the steelbook but then I saw the trilogy pack and wanted it so damn bad I pre-ordered it already hahaha. Then started getting worried cause I love the extras and wasn't sure if they were going to skimp. Thanks again!

I'm also wondering if the DKR steelbook combo is going to be available in-store on release date? I called BB, and all they could tell me was that the SB is only available for pre-order online right now.

Just FYI- As far as I know, Disney is the only company that does the empty iron case preorders.

Ah, that makes sense, as the 2 pre-sell cases I have from BB are Lion King and The Avengers. And I also have Batman Begins and TDK steelbooks, which came with discs inside (and were released a while after the original BD release dates).

Hey everyone, I have never been in such a predicament for a blu ray release. I am in canada and have no ideal which tdkr blu ray to buy. Best buy has the regular release for 34. Also they have the exclusive one for 39 which includes the tdk returns docu. Then Walmart has the regular release but with a small batman figurine. And futures shop has the steelbook for 39. Which one should i preorder? If its the steely I'd prefere to pick it up but I heard that the option is not available. I really don't no what to do and am thinking if I should not preorder and just wait for the release date to wonder about and grab a copy. I currently have batman begins blu ray and tdk steel book blu ray so the trilogy is out of the mix.

I picked up the first two earlier this year with the new BB steelbooks, but Target won me over with this one. Anyone else getting them from Target?

I just can't find this anywhere in the thread:

Is it confirmed that BB and TDK will use the old transfers on the upcoming Trilogy Box?

Or are they new transfers altogether? BB was in need of an overhaul if I remember correctly...

Pretty sure it's the old since they are doing the deluxe treatment on all three in 2013.

Word is : no new transfers for this new trilogy. But, no-one knows what the story will be for next year's "Ultimate" () release. Down the road, the new Ultimate () 4K release should certainly receive some work.
