Guarantee is someone like LRG had the ability to release true physical copies of most of these Switch 2 third party games (especially the RPG's) at a big markup from the key cart versions, they'd sell in huge numbers. Many times higher than typical LRG releases. |

I don’t usually get third party games on the switch anyway, but game key cards will make that number zero.
I would’ve bought games like Final Fantasy Tactics, Suikoden HD, Dragon Quest HD-2D, etc.. on Switch 2 if they had a proper physical release |

Also, somebody make this make sense. The Legend of Heroes: Trails beyond the Horizon: Deluxe Edition (Switch 2 key card) up for preorder on Amazon for $69.99. PS5/PS4/Switch preorder is $59.99. The key card version is the most expensive. ![]() Last edited by dyne; 06-20-2025 at 03:13 PM. |

At this point they'd be better off making a sequel to 1-2 Switch over making the Welcome Tour.
I do question if there has been an official response from companies that used game cards about game card backlash, including those where the company lashes out at the critics because of "entitlement" or some other invalid reason. Unfortunately, I'd imagine a Switch exclusive being a game card will still surprisingly sell well. |

Even if they just started giving every game an option to uncap the frame rate in settings that would be great for future proofing without having to go back and do extra work. The Switch 1 games that had uncapped frame rates or higher limits for dynamic resolution are benefiting greatly right now like they did with PS5. Quote:

I feel like a tool but I ended up shelling out for an extra dock so I could easily play on the 77" display in my media room. After playing some Fast Fusion, MLK, and BotW I feel like it was worth it, but then it occurred to me that this is Nintendo and there is a real possibility that the future OLED model won't be compatible with the original dock. It seems insane but I wouldn't put it past them.
Also, the lack of HGIG on my 2018 OLED in the living compared to the newer 2021 OLED I have downstairs underscores this system's HDR problem. I'm hoping I can find a setting the works well for both displays. I also hope Nintendo does a system update and adds actual values to their white balance adjuster in the system menu. |

Rune Factory - Guardians of Azuma is missing, which which also seems like a decent one with a 80 meta, but only 4 reviews atm.
This one is NOT a Game Key Card and if I had the money I would've bought it by now. Last edited by ZombAid; 06-21-2025 at 07:40 AM. |

I had the DF NS2 hardware review playing as background noise while I work around the house, and I heard the description "continuity console." Not sure if that has been used before, not sure if it is much different than saying "Switch Pro," but I like it. It's a pretty good description of consoles since PS4/Xbox One as well.

South Korea, China, Vietnam, Thailand, India, Saudi Arabia, Gulf states, eastern Europe. Do Nintendo even bother in those countries? I did a bit of gaming in the early/mid noughties when I was younger, and am amazed that both Nintendo and Sony are still reliant on the same handful of countries for most of their sales: Japan, US, UK and Germany. Edit: I did some quick research... Gaming sales are normally split into four: Japan, US & Canada, Europe, Rest of the World (really?!) Rest of the World percentage figures: PlayStation 2 (early noughties): 17% PlayStation 3 (late noughties): 19% PlayStation 4 (mid tens): 20% PlayStation 5: 19% GameCube (early noughties): 3% Wii (late noughties): 10% Switch: 15% Pretty poor. So yes I am correct. Last edited by Caladriusse; 06-22-2025 at 11:54 AM. |

Unless I'm missing something it's an absolute atrocious process deleting save data both locally and on the cloud. You can't mass select and each instance has I believe 4 button prompts. For the local ones specifically, they're presented in a long list top to bottom, You click into one to delete it. Once it's done the cursor starts back at the TOP of the list. It doesn't even go back to where you were.
The UI is from the original console so it's not something I expect them to fix if it's been this way for years. DF has their review up and Oliver mentioned the new Pro controllers having a stick restrictor under the shell that prevents the sticks from touching the rim of the shell which is REALLY nice. No more cocaine rings on the sticks from rubbing. Last edited by dyne; 06-22-2025 at 03:17 PM. |
