I've got one but it wants me to turn it into the Hunter character at that table at the tower but my character is a Titan so it's not really going to help me out.

I was trying to figure out how I got this one so I could get one for my Titan.

You can still talk to them for Exotic Bounties even if you don't have the same class character.

I dont have a single Warlock and I've done the Invective bounty (which requires turning stuff into Ikora, the warlock vanguard) about 5 times.

What did you get? Was it only items for a Warlock character?

What bounty do you have? All exotic bounties are for weapons only, so they are not class-specific. Each one requires it's own set of tasks to complete. I've included a link to all exotic bounties below. It sounds like you have the Dubious Task bounty, which is for the Invective shotgun, or Toland's Legacy, which is for Bad Ju Ju pulse rifle.

As Robert said, that's a bounty for a pulse rifle. If you're looking for a hand cannon, that's not going to help you much. Also, unless you play PvP, you shouldn't want the exotic hand cannon that comes from an exotic bounty anyway. Thorn is not going to help you much in PvE.

If you're hand cannon-chasing you have three options right now. The first would be to run VoG with each of your characters to try and get a Fatebringer, which, to me, outclasses the exotic hand cannons while also not filling up your exotic spot. Don't do this unless you plan on continuing to run pre-TTK activities after the new DLC.

Two, run all of the exotic drop chances with each character(nightfall, gorgon chest, Atheon, DS, Crota) for the next few weeks to try and get a Last Word or Hawkmoon).

Three, just hang tight for two weeks until the next weapons become available and pick up the chase there.

Warlock huh? I've only got a Titan right now, I'll start a Warlock character after teh 15th.

I just watched the video on this exotic bounty and I've got a ways to go still to finish it so I won't have the Bad Juju for a while.

Swords are not dropped but earned via quests.
A one-level gap in Year 1 between player and AI was a huge difference. The Year 2 Combat equation is based on Light now, so don't sweat a 41 - Luke Smith
There's an Exotic Sword called the Raze Lighter
Base perk | Solar-Forged Guard - Use L2/LT to guard. Effective against Arc and void attacks, less effective against Solar attacks.
Column 1 perk | Tempered Light - Increased Armor while wielding the sword.
Column 2 perk | Scabbard | Increased Sword ammo capacity.
Column 2 perk | Thrive by the Sword - Kills with the sword grant Super energy.
Column 3 perk | Phoenix Uppercut - Use R2/RT to launch into a Solar Light uppercut.
Column 4 perk | Warrior of Light - Increased damage for your R2/RT attack.

A rune is required to summon bosses in the Court of Oryx.
You will receive a temporary debuff for 40 seconds that prevents you from using another rune after the event is completed.
Court of Oryx has a total of 3 tiers.
Tier 1 has a random boss that has a unique mechanic associated with them.
Tier 2 has you fight 2 random bosses from tier 1 at the same time and enemies are bumped up to lvl 41.
Tier 3 will supposedly have bosses that are similar to ones from raids.
In Court of Oryx, the summoner gets the most rewards. The summoner must also be active within the arena or else the event will cancel.

Ah, ok. This whole time I thought you had to do the bounties (over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over again)², and that would trigger the exotic bounty to drop. Silly me.

Actually we'll be getting TTK and the Raid on the same day, because the first few days will be DoS attacks and we won't be able to play TTK anyway.
