Why is this movie being announced for Sept 08? I've had it for months. I thought U.S and Canada get it at the same time? BestBuy Canada has it advertised for quite some time.

The Canadian release was distributed by Alliance. The U.S release is distributed by Warner/New Line.

And it has all the features from the dvd and probably the right OAR....this was a fun movie unlike AvP.

Not a bad transfer at all, especially at that price, definitely worth it. I got mine for $10 by the way so I consider it worth it. Would say PQ is 3.5/5 and looks very good for what it is.

If you can get for $10.. buy it. PQ is good. The movie itself is too clean for my tastes...I like my horror movies more gritty and dirty..

Interview with the Vampire is worth it if you can get it for less than $10 unless you're a huge fan. Very mediocre transfer but still an upgrade from the DVD.

Looks like I accidentally got the Canadian version of this on ebay. Anyone know if the transfer is the same or not?

It should be exactly the same.

The Transfer is the same but I don't believe the original Canadian disc had any special features. I used to own that one but sold it when I picked up the original Friday the 13th set with the US disc included.

So in a weird twist of fate, I was the last person to comment on this thread last July in regards to the book "Slash of the Titans" which details 10 of the various iterations the script for Freddy vs Jason went through before the 2003 movie we all know was made. I received the book as a birthday gift last August though it sat unread as I worked my way through a number of other horror/film related books I had picked up during late 2017 and all of 2018.

That has all changed this week though as I've finally gotten around to reading this one and I must say, 2 chapters in and it's already been incredibly entertaining and a great read. Fans of Freddy/Jason and/or the 2003 film really owe it to themselves to pick up a copy and give it a read. I'd love to talk details with folks if there is interest. Hell, I'm happy to share details from each of the scripts (Each chapter is devoted to a version of the script) if people want as well.

I'm only 2 chapters in thus far but this has been a fun, easy to read/follow breakdown of this film and I'm eager to plow through all the other included iterations/chapters as well over the coming days.

Thanks for letting me know about your post about the Slash of the Titans book (in the Halloween: Complete Collection thread). I was considering getting this book, and your comments/observations have been very helpful. I just hope that the author considers doing a book about the original Elm Street and it's sequels, along with Freddy's Nightmares.

Have seen Freddy vs Jason once (at the cinema) and didn't enjoy it as a whole. However, it did have it's moments (there was one good death scene with a bed). I may end up liking it on a revisit, like what happened with the first Black Christmas remake.
