Man, I would love to get the first two on Blu, especially considering the non-anamorphic DVD of the first one.

I have the original DTS LaserDisc of Scream. It was the Director's Cut. It would be nice if Disney released this with both the Theatrical and Director's Cut included via seamless branching.

This would be my guess as well. Unless it is a newer horror film that was just out in the movies around Halloween sounds about the right time.

When you have a bad movie it also get bad on a fantastic format like blu-ray. And Scream is a bad film(s) in my opinion junk and is not worth the disc.

So I do not lie sleeples over this.

I love how film critics like to tell people how bad movies are and they aren't worth the Blu discs. Especially when a previous poster pointed out the huge box office numbers..

Its always pretty funny. "Scream" isn't the best movie out there, and high box office numbers do not make a great movie. But they do prove that a film has its fans, and those fans would happily buy that movie in high def.

If I remember correctly, the original "Scream" was unique in two ways. One, that it made over $100 million at the domestic box office which is still unheard of today for slasher films... and two, its box office went up by almost 100% from its first weekend into its second and third weekends while playing on the same number of screens -- so it was a true "word of mouth" hit.

The box office has everything to do with how a title will sell on Blu.

"Scream" and "Scream 2" (and to a much lesser degree obviously, "Scream 3") were overall very well-received by many critics and audiences alike. I personally am quite the fan of the trilogy (the first "Scream" is a classic considering what it did for the genre, the response it got and what happened afterwards to say the least whether one likes it or not and the first sequel is one of the not-too-many I can think of that actually isn't inferior to its originator) and seriously hope there will be a Blu box set released with even better audio tracks than that which is available on the DVDs.

Default The Scream Movies

So is Dimension owned by Disney? Because Dimension released all the Scream movies (which I would love to own on Blu-ray) and also Scary Movie. Scary Movie is on Blu-ray, so perhaps the Scream movies will hit Blu-ray?

Hopefully they bundle the screams.. Im gonna be pissed when they release a box set of all the scary movies.. since I already have two of them

I wouldnt doubt if they do release it at some point, but odds are not til 09. Scream just isnt at the top of a lot of peoples lists to get out there right now on Hi-def. Which sucks, I know, cuz the movies were pretty good.

Until #3.. then it got really bad.. then those stupid I know what you did last summer where the killer was always the boyfriend, or the boyfriends dad, or the boyfriends twin brothers and twin dad combined.

I actually liked Scream 3 a lot. It tied up the trilogy nicely and having her brother be the killer was a great idea in my opinion. I am glad that they ended the movies with this one.
