I was a holdout on a lot of movies that I knew would be priced. Jurassic Park for $29 etc., all these random movies I should have bought are now only 4.99-9.99 etc.

How about you guys? I've already spent so much and there is still more lightning deals and doorbusters for me to hit up. Not to mention Canada's Boxing Day sales are only a few weeks away.

But 2000+? I give my respect!

Wow! Congrats! These awesome deals are definitely a great way to build a collection. Before you know it, you'll be in this club as well. Post your collection when you can.

I hit 1100+ today, thanks to the B&N Criterion sale and BF deals.

Hey can I come in? All the Black Friday weekend deals finally put me over the top. I found it particularly satisfying that # 1000 was Citizen Kane. How appropriate is that?

I agree with them you are addicted and do need help.

So far, I only have a little over 300 and a ways to go before I become a full fledged member of this thread.

Maybe, I'll get help and find myself never able to join this exclusive club but until then, I'll keep adding beautiful Blus my collection

Hit 1,000 with all of the sales going on. My copy of Jurassic Park that I got from Target.com took me to 1,000 even (counting it as three titles).

It makes me sick to my stomach.

The best way to organize them is with a Kaleidescape but that is also by far the most expensive way to do it.

I keep all my discs in file boxes in the garage and have all my films on a Kaleidescape server that is just 5.25" tall which holds my collection of about 900 CD's and 1700 films, 200-250 of them Blu-Ray. Unfortunately, I have to use a disc vault for the BluRay titles and that is about as large as a standard disc carousel. Since the disc cases are hidden, I don't generally buy Steelbooks or Digibooks.

Yeah, my collection would have been greater but I was in the "red" camp for the start of the format war, I had purchased about 45-ish HD-DVD's before the end came. Then, some random inetvideo site had like a firesale, I picked up like another 40-ish HD-DVD's for around a couple bucks each. Those really killed my bu-ray buying for a while.

I just can't wait till my all my packages arrive. I'll post a pic of my collection on my shelves when I get them all unpacked. But compared to you guys it's not even close. I'd say I got about 85-ish HD DVD's give or take, and after these sales, about 270+ blu-rays. Though if these sales keep up, and the money is in my account, I could easily see myself buying another hundred or two before the week or month is up.

Welcome to the club.

I am weird because I have checked the community stats to see how my collection appeared in comparison to others and I have always noticed your name near mine in the collection stats.

I used to have nearly 2,000 DVDs at one point, but once blu-ray came out, I stopped buying DVDs in favour of those, and have since traded a lot off... my current collection count reflects the total I have in my collection so far.

Still a ways off from this club though....
