CBS' "Person Of Interest" Discussion (2011-2016)

I was just thinking about this show and how awesome episode 1x7 "Witness" is. For me, the series began as a decent "case of the week" type show but once the Elias character was introduced, the serialized portions/episodes were just incredible. And it was THIS ending that got me hooked on the series:

I liked the series up until that point, but this episode made me and my wife sit up and take notice. From then on, whenever the show had 5 minutes left and started up with some cool tune on the soundtrack, I knew it was going to be a good time.

I really miss this show, but I'm glad it went out on top. Easily one of my favourite shows of the last decade.

I’m going through 24 right now (have watched before) but after that I am planning to rewatch this from start to finish. Still one of my favorite shows ever.

I want to revisit it as well, but I only have the first two seasons on DVD. I typically caught up with Netflix in the last two seasons. Seems the Blu-Rays are a bit erratic in pricing, but I might find something at the resale shops.

Yeah that's what I did as well. I know! What's up with that? Kind of all over the place in terms of pricing, strangely. Hope you find them at a cheap price!

I found a Marketplace seller for seasons 3 & 4 today. Totaled out under $36 with shipping, which isn't bad. Not many places were selling these, and the few second hand stores I was able to check out didn't have much, if anything. Season five seems VERY pricey on Amazon, oddly. I'll probably hold off on upgrading the first season or two for now.

It's almost hard to believe that the series ended half a decade ago, but I still remember a lot about it. It's one of those rare shows where I didn't feel cheated or sour in how it ended.

Great show with many memorable moments. All of the characters were all well defined even the villians.

The ending of the show did not disappoint and in fact was very emotional.

The relationship between Root and John was always interesting to me. But in the end she's with him.

For anyone interested, the full series on iTunes is on sale for $29.99. I have this on bluray and still picked it up. I hope to watch this again soon.

At this time there is NOTHING on network TV that equals this show.

Blacklist which is still on was so good in the early seasons but has had a drastic fall off these past few years. Should have ended like Person Of Interest in the fifth season.

The final episode was one of the most emotional TV endings I have ever seen. It was not only bittersweet but humorous as well with Shaw Fusco and Bear

The morning after every new show aired, I would always go to Youtube to listen to whatever awesome song had been featured in that week's episode of the show. And the most recent comment was almost always: "Who's here because of Person of Interest?"

I like how self-aware the show was, of its humour, its style and its sexiness. And it never felt forced, it just always seemed "cool."

Remember when they started that running gag (I feel like it was in the later seasons), when instead of showing one of Reese's fight sequences, they would just cut to the outside of a building and have a goon getting thrown out the window? Ho man, that never got old for me. I howled every time.

Does anyone know if UK or French Blu-ray sets of the complete series are region free or not? Because those are the only ones available for purchase on eBay at this point. I guess I missed the boat on buying the series.

FYI, If anyone is looking to buy the series, a shop from Finland has it for about 60 euros.

It looks like Scandinavia got a reprint in 2021 according to the packaging of my boxset that just arrived. I've ordered the 4K of House of Gucci and the otherwise out of print BD of Never Say Never Again from them and had excellent experiences all around.
