I remember that. They were "sold out" then all of a sudden they were on ebay.
I think you can still get it at Play.com which doesn't make any since...buy yeah whatever.

zavvi and there tricks! I think this is more popular then jungle book tho, it very well may be closer to sold out.

I have ordered 2 as well, but rather nervous after the Jungle Book fiasco.

Had the same e mail as others which was odd as it was past the original stated release date but well before the supposed now release date.

Hopefully Zavvi will learn from this but I doubt it.

I'm curious. I thought this was scheduled to release Oct 1st? My Zavvi order is listing an estimated despatch date of 12/08/13. Does that mean Aug 12th or Dec 8th? Maybe it means Aug 12th since I've been receiving those annoying e-mails from Zavvi for the last week regarding the order?

Either way, I know that it's not going to actually ship until AT LEAST Oct 1st, but I'm just curious.

Really? That's weird. Who else has distribution rights on The Jungle Book elsewhere in the world? That's really the only reason for them to region lock the content.

It will be expensive, but it's the last of the classic Disney animation films that I want in my steelbook collection, so I'll still get it and replace the disc with a NA release if need be... although, I really hope they don't lock it.

I received two of those e-mails as well. Glad to know I wasn't the only one. 12/08/13 means Aug. 12th. I was going to contact them to ask what was up, but decided against it as I was afraid it would somehow mess up my order.

Ya. I've heard of orders getting cancelled after inquiring in this very scenario. Better not to test the incompetence of their customer service and just leave it be until October.

In the UK we write the date the other way around to the USA so 12/08/2013 means August 12th.

With the Zavvi website it is very confusing. Once you have made a preorder the date that they originally intended does not change on your order page if they choose to change the shipping date.

In the case of the Little Mermaid it looks like they got the release day muddled up with the jungle book. It changed twice. The last change being the 23rd of September. If you look on the live listing and ignore your order page then this is the release date.

The emails you have had are auto generated and need no action just read and file them.

I hope that helped the confusion?

The shipment will be a couple of days before the 23rd as they aim to have them in the customers hands on the release date.
