I realize that they're probably just re-releasing this movie on Blu-ray to coincide with the upcoming release of "Maleficent", but... Where are "Aladdin", "101 Dalmatians", "Hercules", "Tarzan", and "The Black Cauldron"? Come on, Disney! Lol. I love "Sleeping Beauty", too, but I wanna finish my Disney Blu-ray collection sometime this decade

Default Am I the only one who doesn't realize this.

The Jungle Book Diamond is coming in less than a month. Shouldn't we've see a trailer for the Sleeping Beauty blu ray yet by now?

One could argue that this is the 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit' of the Disney Fairy tales.
Sleeping Beauty, Fantasia, and especially Alice in Wonderland have risen from the Ashes, and I find the stories inspiring.
Yet ALICE IS NOT A GOD DAMN VAULT MOVIE FOR NO REAS-... ugh, nevermind I don't want to open up that can of worms again. :/

what do you mean? How Sleeping Beauty is like Roger Rabbit?
Well if that's what your asking:
Sleeping Beauty is more like 'Behind the scenes' of a Fairy tale. It's not about the main characters. come to think of it, Roger Rabbit may not be a good analogy.....
nevermind XD

I hope the Diamond Trailer is something like this. The Music is epic, it tells the story, just get rid of the announcer and your set

Somehow I think sticking with the original release bluray is going to be the way to go.
I dont see them carrying over all the previous releases special features to this new one.
never thought I would see myself skipping a new iteration of a disney classic on home video.

who knows hopefully I am wrong and we get all the previous features and some new ones.

Oh I am definitely not knocking this release it is great for those who werent didnt have bluray back when the intital release came out.

I am just saying those of us who allready bought that perfect first release will probably be better off keeping the one we already have, since Disney's standards for their releases have fallen since then.

Typically when a new release is done Ill sell my prior release in the months leading up to the new one, but this time my gut is saying keep what I have allready

This is one of the few vaulted titles that has been super cheap on eBay. I think I got my copy for $12 or less earlier in 2013. No slipcover and no DVD but had both blu-ray discs and the case artwork was good.

As is Mermaid 3D. The gold border movies are for diamond editions that also include digital copies.

Ernest and rickah...

It is best to not engage pikachufan on any topic he/she posts about. He/She will get all riled up and spout some ignorant comments. Then, when he/she gets exasperated that his/her comments are not being understood implicitly, pikachu will then throw up a white flag and tell you to stop discussing it with them.

Just for your reference, this is someone who actually is supportive of Disney's vault program and actively campaigns for titles to be put into the metaphysical vault. This is for prestige purposes only because only the titles that are in the vault are the titles that Disney thinks are its "special children". The idea that the vault is a tool used purely for marketing purposes and manufactured scarcity are concepts that are completely lost on this poster.

I own a grand total of ONE Disney BD: The Platinum Ed. of "Sleeping Beauty" (though I do own the Platinum DVD of "Snow White").

I'm not a big Disney fan to say the least -- obviously. But "Sleeping Beauty" was such a fantastic offer, and looked SO amazing. I couldn't resist.

It wasn't confusing for me, I knew exactly what Ernest was asking of you. It seemed like you were confused, thusly my clarification, for you.

You welcome.

Here's a fan made Diamond trailer, created by the same user who brought us the marvelous fan made Jungle Book Diamond Trailer

I like how he/she used "The Greatest Classic Disney" but I think it's suppose to say either, "The Greatest Disney Classic" or "The Greatest Classic From Disney", also I would've used Eleanor Audrey's recording instead of the redubbed voice (Idk)

Maybe Disney would use "Is Back On Disney Blu Ray" or it'd say "A Tale of Good VS Evil" or something to kinda tie with Maleficent (2014)
