I tired downloading the latest system update (haven't used PS4 recently) and it estimated 34 hours to download.

So I'll try again in a couple of days.

Well tonight has sucked. Had an issue with my PS4 and had to reinitialize my console so I already was pissed knowing I won't be able to download all my content right away since I'm at my sister's for the holidays and they have awful wifi and now I cant even access my cloud saves at the moment because PSN is down. I just wanted to play some GTA

Nah it was another DDOS attack on both XBL (Seems it only had an impact on 360) and PSN from Lizard Squad. Seems to be getting back to normal. They are saying they will do it again tomorrow though so might see some more brief disruptions. The Finest Squad are posting more of their identities and stuff on Twitter right now so both sides will probably be going back and forth for the next few days.

Must have sold a bunch of units for Chrimbo in order to have this much outage. I was fortunate to get in at 3 am and download my games but shortly after playing a few minutes of Battlefield 4 it went tits up again.

Probably just going to return the one I got last night and the games since this seems to happen regularly. Just keep my PS3 and exchange the games for that format.

I figure all the holiday sales of ps3s, ps4s, vitas, and those ps tvs would bring the network to its knees.

I was able to get on last night without a problem I think. I was able to sync trophies no problem. Not sure if that has anything to do with PSN though.
