Just ate at The Lobster Roll aka Lunch where Alison worked and helped Noah’s chocking kid! And of course what Alison and Cole would co-own and later sell to franchise...
I’d post pictures if Blu-ray.com still utilized Tapatalk, but I can’t without it. Maybe when I get home using an image hosting site |

Showtime on Ruth Wilson’s "The Affair" Exit: “Everyone Agreed The Character’s Story Had Run Its Course”
by Denise Petski and Dominic Patten August 16, 2018 Ruth Wilson’s comments on her exit from "The Affair" in an interview Thursday on "CBS This Morning" raised questions and now Showtime has weighed in, saying it was a creative decision. “We can’t speak for Ruth, but heading into season four everyone agreed the character’s story had run its course,” Showtime said in a statement provided to Deadline. “Ultimately, it felt like the most powerful creative decision would be to end Alison’s arc at the moment when she had finally achieved self-empowerment. The impact of her loss will be felt as the series concludes next season. We thank the many fans who embraced the character of Alison and especially thank Ruth for her indelible work over the past four seasons.” https://deadline.com/2018/08/showtim...nt-1202446926/ |

We know that by all accounts it was Ruth’s choice so I’m sure it was because of the BBC show. It would explain why she can’t talk about it, she probably can’t mention a show on a different network while promoting her current show on CBS who owns Showtime.

Has anyone seen this article and interview with the actor that plays Ben and his thoughts of what really happened to Allison?

Ruth Wilson Says she had "No Say" about "The Affair" Death
by Nicole Weaver August 17, 2018 There’s a lot of mystery surrounding Ruth Wilson’s surprise departure from the Showtime drama "The Affair". The actress has done very few interviews about her character’s death, which shocked viewers earlier this month, though she fueled speculation by telling "CBS This Morning" yesterday, “I did want to leave, but I’m not allowed to talk about why.” We caught up with Wilson at the Metrograph premiere of The Little Stranger on Thursday night, where she revealed that she didn’t have any say about how her character left the show — and if she had, things would have turned out differently. “No, I had no say over how the character’s arc was going to end, or how she would die and leave. I always hoped that she would … I always had the image that she would walk into the sunset with her son with no man.” Wilson added, “That’s what I hoped for her. But no.” http://www.vulture.com/2018/08/ruth-...he-affair.html |

The staff at The Lobster Roll Lunch were telling me that when they’d film there, they’d usually come in September, close the restaurant for four days, and film everything in three days!
That’s crazy. Then we drove to Alison and Cole’s house from season 1 and 2 (where Noah jogged by and saw Cole and Alison doin’ it on the car). It’s under construction now ![]() |

This whole season felt like an afternoon soap opera (albeit a very classy one).
I won't pretend that I didn't enjoy it and that it wasn't compelling; but I feel a bit soiled, like I've been emotionally manipulated, in a cheap way. ![]() There's always been a darker, more surreal edge to THE AFFAIR and that seemed to be missing this year. I actually thought the last season felt very complete and worried at the time that pushing it any further would tip it over into melodrama and that's exactly what happened. It's not that crazy awful stuff doesn't happen in life but, in drama, too much of it quickly becomes risible. Still on-board for the last series but I hope they've got the big "event" stuff out of their system now (did they feel the need to compete with THIS IS US?) and that they'll go back to something a bit more off-beat and more nuanced. |

I thought tonight was excellent. This entire season just kept hitting it out of the park.
I wonder if we’ll get any final answers about Ben in the final season. I’m kinda thinking no... I think they’re going to leave us to our own interpretation. |

Yeah I’m thinking no. I’d love for Cole to learn the truth, though. And I was hoping Noah would tell him who really killed Scotty.

Cmon! Is a Long Island show really going to spend season 5 almost completely in California? I mean, it’s a cool city, but has zero personality compared to Montauk! The Long Island backdrop was practically one of the characters. : Last edited by eiknarf; 08-21-2018 at 04:21 PM. |
