That's my issue right now with this series. The present day stuff means nothing to the bigger picture and each game has been a stand alone since ac4. There's no longer any intertwining story. The only thing linking then was a cameo by that British guy and the woman that were working with Desmond.

I'm sure the present day story line was meant to be much different to what we got. Didn't a lot of key members leave before the story got its conclusion? Could explain why it died a painful death.

I agree. Even in the Desmond days, it served only to break the immersion for me. Though, without the Templars vs. Assassins story, you're just a guy running around killing historical figures for no good reason. I mostly enjoy them for the period settings, not so much the stories.

Yeah I don't get the present day stuff now, Since the story has been so independent since 1-4.

I'm just going to [and I'd advise anyone whose anticipating this game] to wait for Halo4, Fallout, COD, Battlefront, to crush the value of this game over the course of the next 3-5 weeks. I could honestly see this game being 29.99 by end of Nov. or December and then discounted even further over the holiday shopping season.

The real problem even in the great games like AC2 etc. if they gave these games just a unique individual story is what is the overall purpose lol. Like what are we playing 50 versions of the game for and thats where I think the Desmond thing could have been good, but they botched it so bad with how they worked it in, and how it got fragmented over the course of the series.

Yeah, I really don't get it. I don't even remember what happened to Desmond and I've played all of the mainstream games (not any of the portables or phone apps).

I just don't get the storyline AT ALL! I thought, for sure, they would be able to tie it all together some how, but I'm so lost. Those French Canadians can really water down a storyline. LOL

I'm ready for Friday. I can never get away from the series.

I even bought Rogue a few weeks ago and got the platinum for it.

That game was great. They should have done a port for the PS4.

Brian at PS4Trophies has been commenting that he likes the game a lot, and is usually not a fan of the series.

There's no multiplayer at all in Syndicate, competitive or co-op.

The good reviews are a relief and looks like I'll be keeping my preorder!

i really don't care for multiplayer or co-op on these games........and having a game sitting @ 90% in my trophy list drives me nuts.

that's good to hear. if that's the case, i'll def. be picking this up when it hits a more reasonable price point......$30ish hopefully.

Excited for this one too... the great reviews, and lack of any sort of MP make this a in my books! Back to the original rooftop jumping, solo playing, non-boating game that I fell in love with

Have this pre ordered with Amazon.ca for $45 thanks to the E3 sale earlier in the year

Based on recent experience with Arkham Knight and Witcher 3, and already having known better from the past, I just bought the regular $60 version, and it's already installed. I'll play tomorrow morning or afternoon, unless Destiny gets in the way. But I'm pretty much looking forward to this game.

Let me know your thoughts after you've had some time with it. I'm out of the States right now but plan on picking this up when I return.

Sounds like after AC:R fail, AC:BF, AC:U fails its finally back on track. I still don't trust the reviews enough to buy it anytime soon. But it seems promising.

Revelations was a decent game. It was AC3 that most panned before BF restored faith and that itself was a repeat of AC1 to AC2
