Just started building my Disney collection so this'll definitely be bought.

When I popped Big Hero 6 into the blu-ray player, I was excited to see Disney's finally going to release this. October can't come soon enough!

Not only would it be it's 55th anniversary, but if Dumbo follows up that would mark D's 75th Anniversary, and then, if they start again with Snow White, it would be the 80th Anniversary with that one. It's one big anniversary bundle that could easily be exploited. If it's important enough for Disney to release Peter Pan for it's 60th and put Aladdin on hold, the idea is surely being considered.

But most likely we will get a regular re-release with a digital copy and one or two new bonus features but with the same transfer for Alice. But never say never

They are making another live action Alice (because everyone just LOVED the first one I guess)

Peter Pan (though Warner Brothers)

Odds of those sucking would be PRETTY good.......

Maybe they'll make a live version of Aladdin where the Sultan abuses Jafar so Aladdin and Jafar team up to kill the Sultan and live happily ever in a fairy jungle.

I've been thinking about A live action Lion King but after how Disney handles talking animals I'd rather they not.

But yay for Aladdin! They've messed up the font btw.

I'd love if Target ends up doing an Aladdin steelbook. Big Hero 6 was gorgeous, and I think that Aladdin would be just as nice.

I find that to be BS. It's Disney and they allowed that lyric to be in the original cut. Why backpedal afterwards?

It was only available in the original theatrical cut and first pressings of the CD.

Disney bowed to political pressure, since it showed Arab cultures in a bad light. (Even if it was true to the actual culture...)

We can only hope. I'd gladly take a cheap DVD release of the series if they should release it.

No, not that I've seen. We may get a new feature honouring Robin and maybe some disney channel stuff on the musical.

I didn't realize this, I'm pretty sure my mom still has the original VHS and I know the CD is floating around somewhere.

Actually, growing up in the middle east, Ariel was never shown with her seashells on any covers. She was always wearing a T-shirt. Kind of funny, considering the actual movie has her in bra.

Ok. I hope there's a lot. Disney releases are usually pretty good about that.

I wouldn't mind seeing something on Robin Williams. Still hard to believe he's gone.

Someone just drew a T-shirt on her.
When I was in high school we had a project where we were supposed to use photoshop to make a DVD cover, and I made a Disney collection with the big four. I was asked by my teacher to draw a T-shirt on Ariel.

It's just the culture back then. Surprisingly, Jasmine was never covered.

Here's the Arabic trailer for The Little Mermaid VHS release, notice that it is not sold in the KSA.
