You don't have to be some sort-of warrior feminist to find that ill-judged. For sure, there are some women who enjoy anal sex but I think you'll find very few (outside of your fevered fantasies perhaps) that see it as the default position for intercourse, especially with strangers.
I don't know anyone, male or female, that didn't take issue with the scene. Pretty much every review of the film I've read, including the positive ones, singles out that scene as a problem too.

I'm simply stating the facts, not passing judgment on anything. The fact is that Vaughn is a staunch Tory, and a self-confessed Thatcherite.
And I didn't and still do not care, the reaction that post embodies that its beyond disgusting to joke about that I linked to the Mary Whitehouse years.
The tone and wording I found to be insane I do not care about Lord Vere Drummond gets up to politically.
Obviously you do as this is your sticking point and when I explained that this was NOT what I was saying you beat the dead horse.

Not at all, like I say I was simply pointing out a fact. I've not expressed an opinion about the film or his work. Your muddled initial comment confused me, that's all. Calm down.

I am and, always remain clam.
The fact had no basis on my post bar what you implied from it.

Just to balance it out, my girlfriend found it funny and giggled at that, and no she isn't into anal. I found it funny too, it's a joke about the Cliché of high class women tend to be a bit dirty in the sack.

Contrarily, me and my missus didn't bat an eyelid. But then we're not boring, humourless, reactionary nitwits like 99% of the human race.

I'm not sure that taking issue with that scene makes somebody boring, reactionary, humourless, reactionary or a nitwit. To be honest these aren't even complimentary attributes. Of the many nitwits I know they're anything but boring.

(Ironically, you come across as quite humourless yourself. Such cynicism isn't good for you.)

The HMV exclusive is still in stock at xtra-vision for £17.99 if anyone can not find a copy in store. Got for £15.29 with their recent 15% off voucher code.

So, the original plan was to go into Reading tomorrow after work to get the HMV exclusive version.
But I just started a new job today, which requires me to be on my feet all day long, meaning they hurt afterwards.

Having said that, I figure that it'll actually just end up being cheaper to order it from Xtravision, than it would be to pay for a train ticket to Reading and then buying the blu-ray in-store..

So, has anyone else ordered from Xtravision, and if so, what condition did your order arrive in?

I don't want my first order with them to be a bad experience.

They use cardboard mailers, so it can be hit or miss if things arrive damaged. I've been lucky so far with my order's from them.

Oh, so like the ones that HMV.com used to use then.
When HMV.com used to sell direct via their website, 98% of my orders from them arrived undamaged.

I hope I get results like that with Xtravision.
