I am hoping the august 4th release date is true but paul blart mall cop 2 on dvdworldusa says its coming out on august 11th while on bluray .com it says its coming out on july 21 so I am not sure of trustworthy dvdworldusa is. But again I still hope the august 4th release date is correct.

Well, It is just not offically announced as of yet, but I wouldn't say its not set in stone though. It says on the Dvdworldusa.com website that its the U.K.’s Top Supplier of American DVDs and Blu-ray. So with that in mind it should be an indication that the release date, is a region A BD release date and so its the U.S. BD release date for the movie.

I really wanna preorder but I also really want to see if there's gonna be a U.S. Steelbook (I know there will eventually be one)

I must have one to go with my Zavvi release of part 1 I hope it will have a look of layout that is similar..

A steelbook would be cool, but I wouldn't mind if Best Buy had another limited edition set like this to pick from too:

I like that set too. However, I don't think Best Buy will do another. I don't believe they sold very well and they ended up blowing them out for $20. I got mine for $12 after using a coupon I had.

Yeah I don't think they sold well either but they look really cool. They'd sell better if they were priced more competitively. Or if they made them more limited. Oh well, I'm happy with the one I have, looks awesome on the Marvel shelf.

It's more logical to assume this would be released in September vs. August. 3 months after theatrical release? Eh, no.

The first Avengers was released in theaters in early May and released on Blu-ray in September. Gee, I wonder how this one will play out.

3 months is fairly common now.

Kaiju, jscoggins actually has a good point there. Plus, The theatrical release-to-Blu ray release time frame for movies, is shrinking and has been doing so for a while now.

There are over 200 movies released each year. There's plenty of original content.
