I'm hesitant on ordering the set again. Cause the last time I did they gave me the regular Blus for these and I had to return it cause it wasn't what I ordered.

Edit: I did decide to, I'm just hoping it's Correct this time.

All the flaws aside, re watching this again in awhile I gotta say out of the all the Spidey suits. I really loved the physics of the TASM suit. It looks and feels like an actual athlete swinging around in some high performance suit around New York. They really captured the weight of the suit really well when spidey was flying. Especially the final swing at the end of the film.
totally agreed, what i don't like the most was CGI suit of Civil War...

Yeah the MCU Spidey has plenty going for it but definitely not with regard to any of the suits. The suits in ASM and ASM2 are incredible. The MCU ones look way too fake (because they are).

Garfield is still my favorite Spider-Man in costume. But Holland is now my favorite Peter Parker.

@HD Goofnut

Thanks for those caps. I always thought the Mi4K BD was crap (based on caps) and thought the UHD was the same crap plus Sony Light Cannon (also based on caps). Your caps confirm the crap status and I'm glad I never bothered with the first one.

Actually just took a look at my regular BD with the Stan Lee shot:

What a (sharpened) mess.

Watching this on 4k right now and picture quality isn't impressive. Colors look off and muted. Picture looks soft with dnr. I believe this was filmed on film and grain is little to none(not a good thing)Has sharpness ringing. Overall it doesn't look organic. Filmed in 5k and finished in 4k?! A bit shocking for a Sony release.

You are correct. Regardless the picture quality looks pretty bad overall.

Not at all. Why do you disagree? If so, what's your take?

I don't have it anymore, but it looked great, much sharper and more detailed than the Blu-ray. And the HDR grade was pretty nice, bringing back colors and contrast which are so terribly muted on BD.

I skimmed through this thread after I typed my comment and it seem a lot of people agree with me when it comes to the poor picture quality. I guess we'll agree to disagree.

For a digital release it's very good looking. It has a completely different look compared to the sequel but nothing wrong with colors on my end. Used to be my go to disc showing off inky blacks on OLED.

Can't wait for Andrew to return in No Way Home. By the way, Webb wanted to shoot TASM on film, the costume tests were shot on anamorphic 35mm for example. Still great work but gosh, it's an insane gap with TASM2.

Right? To go from a native 3D rig shot on RED to 35mm anamorphic post-converted is a hell of a swing.

This film has the ugly Red profile, but the sequel is gorgeous

Discs are on sale for $21. I own the Blu-rays but curious if the 4Ks are worth the upgrade.
