This'll be the first Disney+ show I'll be able to keep up with as it airs, which will be fun. Plus, it's been over a year-and-a-half since we've had some official MCU product, and I'm famished.

I have zero interest in any of these TV shows, but I feel, moving forward...and much like Star Wars, a casual film watcher is gonna be lost without watching them. And that kind of sucks for the movie fans.

Hell, even just watching the movies has to be baffling for anyone who hasn't watched every. Single. One over the last 13 years. Imagine rolling into the second MCU Spider-Man movie if you hadn't seen Infinity War or Endgame in-between that and the first MCU Spidey flick.

They've gone all-in on making the continuity of the entire universe between the individual franchises so tightly-woven that, if you're only a fan of one particular hero and only want to see their movies, you're shit outta luck when it comes to understanding what happened in-between sequels. Disney must love this is it FORCES fans to keep up with everything lest they become hopelessly lost, but now that the Disney+ shows are going to connect to the big screen movies to a level that, say, Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D and the Netflix Marvel shows never did, it's gonna be a fustercluck trying to suss out all of the various continuity threads.

Not sure why it matters if the story is told in a film or a tv show. If you are a fan you should watch.

My friend has just now seen Age of Ultron for the first time. Even though they saw Infinity War and Endgame in theaters.

Honestly with the exception of Wanda, Vision, and the Sokovia Accords, I can't really think of anything that's carried over so much into the rest... Age of Ultron might be the most safe to skip story wise lol

Good point. Let's reiterate: Any Casual Fan will be confused. It's difficult as is to convince casual media consumers to watch the extra stuff for Star Wars Before Mandalorian even came out, hell still kind of is afterwards.

Imagine how frustrated we'll be trying to explain the absolute necessity of Watching the Disney+ shows to get the "Big picture" of the MCU going forward to the casual folk, when they didn't need to before. The movies are hard enough to keep track and already are time consuming to watch 23 movies(as of this post) as a whole.

AoU is one of the most rewarding rewatches of the entire lot. Building on previous events and setting up so much of the future direction of the MCU.

Done with both the episodes and they were great as expected. Loved how it has the weird mystery vibe throughout. And wow, Elizabeth Olsen is amazing.

[Show spoiler]Lot of easter eggs in those ads!

I sent a short film script to Disney Plus Shorts Incubator back in June '19. Though I wasn't selected for the program, it'd mean alot if you checked out my script, mood boards, etc since I can't make it anymore. Took alot of work and I'd hate for no one to ever see it. Have a great new year everyone! https://www.linkedin.com/posts/activ...876835328-cxSq

I love it so far! It’s quirky and a lot of fun but it’s got its suspenseful moments and of course a mystery. I hate Disney’s “weekly” mantra but I can’t wait to see the rest!

I don't know... a few sporadic hints and easter eggs feels like small reward for sitting through complete, devoted replicas of terrible sitcoms. There's a reason I don't watch generic, 50 year-old cliche shows like this in the first place. I hope they break out soon.

Y’all acting like Disney+ is the first to do weekly episodes of their shows

I didn't realize this until today, but WandaVision has the same director for each episode. The same can be said of the other two MCU shows. I really hope it works, as I'm not sure if it's a good or bad thing. I'll be watching tonight.

Marvel is approaching their shows as if they are six hour long movies. So it would make sense that a single director is chosen for all episodes.

Granted this isn't The Mandalorian where we have a new flavor each week.

Sticking with one director makes for greater consistency, I would hope.

I love this show so far, and they really did that for peoplel who claim Marvel is a formula and they never go different directions this is surely something completely different.

If they don't release a steelbook with this artwork i will riot

Expecting the same people to complain that it's way too different now.
