It's very subjective when it comes to US financing of British films. I've always considered Stanley Kubrick's work from the mid-60s onwards to be British, even though he was an American director working with American money.

As well as The Wicker Man, Don't Look Now and Night of the Demon as mentioned above, I imagine he includes The Innocents, which is very highly regarded (albeit not by me).

I think The Innocents is one of the most sophisticated and layered horror films ever made. Every one of Jack Clayton's movies I've seen has been remarkable. My Mother's House is a real standout too.
