DC HD version of the pilot is missing Stella Stevens' credit. Is there a way to let WB know before the blu gets released incorrect?

I'm still waiting on an email confirmation from WB that the blu-ray will be 1.33:1 aspect ratio.

Message...
Hello, could you tell me what the (video aspect ratio) is going to be on WB’s upcoming Blu-ray release — Wonder Woman: The Complete Series...
Sources say it’s 1.33:1 but I have been unable to locate anything official from Warner Brothers. Thank you-

Hopefully, color timing will be right too.

I thought WB did a better job on color timing with Batman the original series 1966-'68 blu-ray than they did with their earlier Batman: the Movie 1966 blu-ray. WB will probably take the same approach on Wonder Woman as they did with the Batman series, same audio 1.0, same video aspect ratio 1.33:1, same color timing, hopefully...

Coronavirus or not, WB still doesn't respond to a lot of emails.

Maybe the version of the pilot on DC isn't the restored version that is going to be on blu. Maybe they just haven't updated it. The missing credit and the 2003 closing logo are clues that it may be from an older master. All other episodes have their original closing logo on other streaming services. And they are calling this fully restored and not just remastered, as they do the streaming versions.

I think the biggest reason that WB did such a poor job with the 1966 movie is because they didn't do anything with it. Batman: The Movie was released by Fox, not WB.

I had to pull that one out from the archives. I haven't watched it in years. Audio was excellent on the movie but video was definitely under par.

Which means a UHD is unlikely.

I wonder why they didn't pair it with the series since Fox was a partner on that set.

Man, getting just the series was like pulling teeth. Also throwing the movie in? Yikes!

Probably budget restraints.

As much as I like the digital transfer on the 2014 Batman complete series blu-ray set, the 13 disc set shows signs of stair stepping compression artifacts here and there. Fox's earlier 2008 blu-ray movie release came on a BD-50 disc with video at over 27 Mbps. By adding Batman: The Movie to the mix, they probably would've needed to do a 14 disc set release, the movie being 1.85:1 at 105 minutes. Full 1.85:1 aspect ratio/ 1920 to 1080/ 2,073,600 digital pixels per frame eats disc space. Add to that, on the BD movie release, color timing was all over the place. There are times when flesh tones look orange.

Could this be a new version not yet released to digital? I say this because it says fully-restored in the press release, while digital version say remastered.

They did pair it with the movie, there was a direct-marketing version you could order off a TV commercial that included the movie. It was DVD-only, even if you picked the Blu-ray option for the series, but it was included.

Why aren't they including lossless audio?

I did this for VUDU "Wonder Woman." When I checked it, it was 1.78.

On VUDU, I find that stuff I watched, even if I watched it through the end of the credits, reappears like an echo in my "Partially Watched" thing about two weeks later. Tonight I saw "Wonder Woman" was on there, and it had updated to 1.33. I didn't check any more episodes but that was pretty quick.

BullMoose now has this up for $49.97 and unlike BestBuy they do not charge sales tax and package way better than BestBuy does. When I ordered the large Scooby Doo Where Are You set from them, they packaged it in a huge box with lots of protection. Ended up cancelling my BestBuy order and grabbed it from BullMoose. I save about $4 without the tax.

I know this is not a Warner Archive release. Does that mean we will be saved from the shenanigans of it being out of stock at amazon , for over a month? Unfortuneately no moviezyng preorder this time.

You're probably better off going to Target or Best Buy on the day of release before the doors open. (If the doors are open by then).
