MB's been casting his dogs for years: Mason the mastiff was in Transformers (getting washed by Sam's "Bros before hoes" friend Miles). Bonecrusher was in ROtF and DOtM. According to Twiki, the dogs died in 2007 and 2016, respectively.

I don’t know what Mikey’s “sthick” is but I’m sure it’s big like Mason.

“Shtick” or “schtick.” Or sometimes “shtik” or “schtik.” But not “sthick.”

Finally got around to watching this last night.

To preface, I've never really understood the hate for Michael Bay. To me he always felt like a Tony Scott Lite (though not nearly as great). Though, Bay has stumbled later in his career more than not.

Needless to say, I thought Ambulance was really awesome. The action was exceptional, and they managed to make a pretty thin concept feel fleshed out. The movie was longer than it needed to be, but at no point did I feel like it dragged. As an action fan, theres not much I can say when it's essentially a 2 Hour and 10 minute long heist/car chase scene.

The trio of leads were all solid with Gyllenhaal being the stand out. He's plays the bad guy role really well.

I didn't expect to like this nearly as much as I did. I went in at least expecting a decent action flick, but I honestly walked away really enjoying this one and will gladly give this a re-watch in the near future.

It was alright but dragged on way too long and the drone shots are already overused.

I enjoyed the first hour or so, but then the really ludicrous stuff began. Gotta confess, I had no idea that this is a Michael Bay film until I got here today. Had I known, I would’ve probably skipped it, because I am not a fan. Lady Lemmy has the same opinion on this one, too. We were not amused. Two stars.

I have never seen the Original but the Remake was a lot of fun, great Action, but the Camera work gave me a little bit motion Sickness. It never stopped moving

Apart from his propensity for misogyny and vulgarity, one of my biggest complains about Bay has always been the ridiculous overlength of his films. Well, this does rectify that last one. It’s fairly lean for a Bay film.

Michael Bay (explosion) has misogyny and vulgarity in his films; in which films? I haven't seen all of his films, but I don't associate him with that sort of stuff, he's not a Game of Thrones/Yellowstone/Wolf of Wall Street type

...all of them? You'd have to be BLIND not to see how crassly sexist, racist and homophobic the majority of his work is.

I've seen several of his films in 3D so I submit that as evidence that I'm not blind, even so I can't recall seeing any of that in his films. Maybe you'll have to walk me through it with some examples.

As I recall, Michael Bay slapped down Marty Lawrence's on-set display of racism, but I've only heard his side of that story FWIW.

The man said he likes to make movies for teenage boys, I'm not so sure that teenage boys knew during Michael Bay's peak what those ist & phobes that you mention were.

Attempted to give this a shot. Made it about 30 minutes. Just too dumb and Gyllenhaal was ridiculously over the top.

Yeah, just finished it and it was garbage. Wow, the fact that the ball that gets the main plotline rolling is due to some douche cop that wants to ask out a teller at a bank? Really? If that's not a Michael Bay-ism then I don't know what is.
